Sean's Picks of the Week (0622-0626) - Savage Praxis, Vampire, Angels for Pathfinder, and More!

I didn't know about Orc Warfare: that looks fantastic! And I agree about Nova Praxis: brilliant.

    DRAGON+ #2

1 out of 5 rating for DRAGON+ #2 WotC cannot do digital. There, I said it. They cannot do it in-house. They cannot manage to outsource it. They just cannot do it. The non-ad content is poor which is actually a plus because, if the content was useful, then you would be even more annoyed because...

Do You Like The Cover of the New Conan RPG?

It looks like they've saved a lot of money on art....

D&D 4E Good adventure that shows 4E's strengths?

Again, create cheat sheets. When players see that it is actually quite easy to manage a 4E PC if they actually prepare for a few minutes before they turn up, eventually they start doing it for themselves. Hopefully.... ;)

Mike Mearls Talks (er, Tweets) About the Industry

And I think that's only half of the story. I would put it like this: "Yeah, current RPG fans have a script that plays out badly for publishers when those publishers are part of a publicly-listed toy company with unrealistic expectations about the value of a tabletop RPG, a problem that...

D&D 4E Good adventure that shows 4E's strengths?

That's what happened during our version of it: a small sentence in the adventure became the prelude to the next, fairly extensive campaign arc that concluded with a battle with the lich Valindra and a SC/battle with the awakening claw of the tarrasque which was both a hazard and a monster. (This...

D&D 4E Good adventure that shows 4E's strengths?

Oh, and love your Slave Lord-fuelled ideas, D'karr. I might be stealing them.... :)

    Star Wars & Savage Worlds

Thanks for that, Daelkyr. After I started this thread I went back through my SW products and noticed a couple of those there. Anyway, we're back to 4E again so I'll just put this on my RPG Bucket List. :)

D&D 4E Good adventure that shows 4E's strengths?

I'm coming to the end of my Neverwinter: Year of the Ageless One campaign -yes, it is a campaign set in Neverwinter in the Year of the Ageless One and based heavily upon the Neverwinter Campaign Setting and, arguably, even more on 2E's FR5 The Savage Frontier - and it looks like my next campaign...

    Who is a slime demon?

In FR there is also Ghaunadaur who is an ancient deity of oozes and slimes who has largely replaced Juiblex/Jubilex in that world. He/it is also a considered a drow deity and possibly the FR equivalent of the Elder Elemental Eye and/or Tharizdun.

D&D 4E Good adventure that shows 4E's strengths?

While I would also simply point @MoutonRustique's posts and simply agree, may I also mention Shards of Selûne which was a DDi adventure published to complement the Neverwinter Campaign Setting. I managed to turn that into a major campaign arc that spanned levels 3-7 and then inspired another arc...

Are there scientists in D&D? Should there be.....???

And in 1E they were called a sage.

What will you do in your old age?

Absolutely, it really is no guarantee. But look at these two things: 1. I've watched smokers die. It takes 10-20 years but those sleepless nights while they sit up with a hacking cough as their body tries to get rid of the obstructions in their lungs take a horrible toll on not only their body...

What will you do in your old age?

Honestly, threads like this make me wonder why people live in the USA. And I don't mean that as a political comment: it's purely a comment about how depressing the economic situation there really is except for a few. Back on topic, I'm 46 and have been semi-retired for a while thanks to a dozen...

TITANSGRAVE Episode 2 - Evil Awakens

Ahhh, gotcha. Thanks for the link, by the way. I didn't know it was there and I have actually stolen an idea from that adventure and it will be good to read about it further. I must admit, I think one of the highlights of the episodes so far has been the post-production work. They've captured...

TITANSGRAVE Episode 2 - Evil Awakens

I only edited your post for brevity: I agree with almost everything you said. And I stress that I really, really enjoyed it. I do hope we will soon see a major story arc worthy of the "heroes will arise from the Ashes of Valkana" tagline but, no matter what happens, I know I am going to enjoy...

    TITANSGRAVE Launches!

I finally watched episode 1 tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it after a bit of a slow start. Wil and the players are engaging to watch and the world seems really interesting. The editing and post-production extras were simply fantastic. What a shame more actual play videos don't have access to a...

Fantasy AGE & TITANSGRAVE Product Info

I agree about that author list, Henry; it blew me away! Ray Winniger also did a lot of editing work for various companies and, as noted, his Dungeoncraft articles are considered classics by a lot of people.

    D&D 5E (2014) Asmodeus in 5E Faerun

The matter was clarified a lot time ago... but not sufficiently well for a single special snowflake with entitlement issues. You ought to be commended for your patience. Mod Note: Don't make it personal. Don't be insulting. Thanks. ~Umbran
