You mean how to keep it secret? Because the mechanics should be relatively easy - grant temp HP and an attack bonus (until end of the encounter) when you kill a living creature, drain a surge and heal the target back up some and give it a hit bonus when you kill an undead.

The Hexhammer is, IIRC, an interesting build. It does something the class wasn't made for. (Melee Warlock using a hammer, for those playing at home.) They might be going for weird stuff like that, and the "Arcane Archer" they've published rather than MAXIMUM DPS ALL THE TIME.

A Shielding Hammermage can go all-out with Int/Con and still take the feats. A Shielding Swordmage (using heavy blades) has to put some points in Dex. Worth considering.
