    Lightsaber Duels

Now we're adding modifiers to the argument. :) Anyone of importance is significantly different than anyone. Kicks, punches and force pushes will take combatants out. And honestly, they will eventually wear down an opponent of importance. It's all about different styles, though. My style is...

    Lightsaber Duels

Nah. I'm not saying the Jedi shouldn't use the lightsaber. I'm saying they should use their range of abilities as a Jedi, instead of just using the lightsaber to make themselves killing machines. Like Mace Windu said in Episode II: "We're keepers of the peace. Not soldiers." Sometimes keepers...

    Lightsaber Duels

There's been plenty where a kick/punch/force push has taken a combatant out of the combat. Just look at the big Jedi/Droid battle near the end of Episode II, or Luke's fight on the skiff and sail barge over the Sarlacc pit. It obviously works enough that it's a common technique. :) If it never...

    Lightsaber Duels

There's where you see the difference between a Jedi, and a person playing a Jedi for the cool powerful weapon. For the Jedi, causing your opponent to surrender is often preferable to killing them. Honestly, I'd say that a Jedi character just going through and killing everything in their path...

A Moreau by any other name

Any chance we'll see more examples of the Semis? I do like, though, that you immediately opened it up to more than just mammal/human hybridization.

Star Wars games in the wake of RotS

    And against Sidious in RotS.

    Lightsaber Duels

The Duel lasted for right around 20 minutes on screen. Nice long lightsaber battle. There has to be a way to do that in game... but it would be difficult.

Does D20 Future make D20 Modern too feat-heavy?

It's all about the options, baby. If you want to be THE starship guy, then at 15th level, when you have them all... you're THE starship guy (or gal)... I think it's okay, actually.

Star Wars games in the wake of RotS

Yeah. I think I saw where you were thinking. :)

Star Wars games in the wake of RotS

I was talking about that ...17? 19 year span... There's a lot of potential between a couple of days after Order 66, and 19 years later...

Star Wars games in the wake of RotS

I dunno.... I think between the execution of Order 66 and Episode IV could have good potential.

My freinds post: How High School Community Hour and d20 dont mix

What really concerns me is the incredibly poor spelling and grammar in a "92.7 average student"... How are they grading these kids, now??? "Woohoo! You showed up and you're not on crack! That's worth 40 more points!"

    Does anyone have a clue...

Because of the nature of the Jedi... We've found that when you introduce Jedi into a campaign that wouldn't normally include them.... it pretty much becomes about the Jedi. Better just to leave them out.

    Does anyone have a clue...

The problem with Jedi in a non-Star Wars game is that it changes the dynamic of a game... We found this out the hard was several years ago. As for Star Wars races in a D&D game... no problem.

    Starcraft and d20 Future

I have to agree with this. Being faithful to the source material is more important than nerfing a race down to a LA +0...

    D20 apocalypse

Yeah... Because we would never see that in reality *cough*OilBarons*cough*...

    Nova Wars Baby!

Yoink beam activated. This one's going in my D20 Future campaign after I flesh it out a bit.

    Starcraft and d20 Future

I'd say the Terran Humans are late PL 6, with cutting edge stuff being PL 7.

    D20 apocalypse

So do away with the water trading. Remember... any setting or rules book is nothing more or less than a set of guidelines. It's simple enough to say that most of the rivers are fine, but the ground is screwed, or that everything is hunky dory except for mutations, and general lawlessness...
