Have you checked out DW2, then? It's built on D20 Modern with the Modern Base Classes, and all. Plus it just generally kicks all kinds of butt over the original DW, which is still a fine product.

You have to be prepared for it to take off in a different direction than D20 anything... It's built on Spycraft which is D20 .... mostly. Really too bad they didn't build it on D20 Modern.
