Well... We're at an impasse, you and I. We quite disagree, and neither of us will change the other's mind. I've given my opinion, for what it's worth, and I hope it's useful. Other than that... I'm not going to argue.

For me, it depends on the origin of the aliens... Did some ancient intelligent race seed the galaxy? Did life evolve completely independently, everywhere? Is the hominid form the most efficient for tool use (and therefor crafting and computer use)? How widespread is intelligence? Sentience...

Nah. The reason I don't think Riddick is superhuman is because he's not superhuman. He's a world class athlete who happens to also be an incredible fighter. I didn't see him doing anything that could be described as Wuxia, though I did see a couple of the Necros doing so. I saw Riddick leaping...

Doesn't that sort of preclude them being well grounded? :) I will say this... the Wiccans I hang out with are quite realistic about the origins and everything. Which is probably why the weirdness of the title and description hit me so quickly.

Yeah... You could do Chronicles of Riddick with minimal new rules. It's mostly setting heavy. PL6 Technology (except the Necros who arguably have PL7, or possibly PL8.... other than their stupid armor). I should probably pick up the novelizations. I'm sure they're more in-depth.

The Purifier is also Furyan, and it shows a female Furyan (Shirah) in the director's cut... Riddick had an "Eyeshine" surgery done on himself at the Butcher Bay prison. That's the reason for his lowlight vision, and light sensitivity. It's my opinion that Riddick is essentially a world class...

Furyans are still humans. Nothing terribly special about them. They simply have a warrior culture.

This product looks as if it begins from a false starting point, and then goes off base from there... And that's just in the description. Is the author around? I haven't yet bought it, and I'm considering it in order to see how far off base they are. Hehehe.
