Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

I've noticed that some channels (and podcasts) only have so much content that they can realistically put out that merit both the level of research and discussion versus the pace that YouTube demands creators put stuff out for in order to keep popping up in recommendations. It's no longer enough...

D&D General If Nentir Vale were in the Forgotten Realms, where would they be?

Personally, I’d slot it in over around Damara, Narfell and Thesk. That area is very underused anyways. Ooh, the “Great Dale”. Just rip that out and put Nentir Vale there.

What Show Should Have Only Had One Season?

Yeah, I was really waiting for that moment when they'd all team up at the end of Season 1 to fight Sylar, and while we "kinda sorta if you squint" got that, it was way too brief. Part of it is just I don't think shows like that had the budget at the time to do the kind of heroics and special...

What Show Should Have Only Had One Season?

I think you guys hit the big ones, all excellent picks. I’m going to throw Rome in there. The first season was perfect, a thing of beauty. I didn’t really think we needed a second season, and what they did put out seemed rushed and disjointed.

    This is pretty much obligatory.

I can see that one. It's not that I dislike their work, but I remember listening to their compilation album years ago, and there isn't a lot of variety there.

I really gotta try a couple of true solo games because I keep hearing about some good things happening with recent games in this space.

Ah, I see Captain ALL CAPS has entered the chat.

I still sing these songs on road trips.

    Overrated/Underrated Geek Media

Had to come back to this one because yeah…just yeah. Killers of the Flower Moon and The Irishman were two of the dullest, most obnoxiously long movies I’ve watched in awhile. But who’s going to tell Scorsese that he needs to edit his movie? To rein in some of the other excess? At this point, no...

You wouldn't have none, but it was not a guarantee that you got Fireball or Haste or Slow or Lightning Bolt.

The credos are a retrofit against the early AD&D/BX rules. A modern NSR game has much more of a chance of aligning to those tenets. And to be fair, wizards didn’t automatically get all their new spells - they had a % chance to learn them.

    (rant) Exhausting brain fog replies

Your best bet is to use your ignore list because honestly, you have zero way of knowing whether there is a medical issue, language barrier, or whether the poster is simply posting an incomplete thought, and regardless of the reason, there’s little action on your part that you can take to change...

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

My preference is just to quote one part of a post but inevitably someone gripes that I don’t quote their entire post, even if I didn’t think the rest wasn’t relevant to what I wanted to focus on.

What Do YOU Want The Future of TTRPGs To Look Like?

Agreed. I don’t mind if that’s Roll20 or D&D Beyond or Foundry but the more tools available, the better.

    The Bondsman (Prime)

    It's on my list.

Speaking of Role Aids, I also remember when TSR also tried to sue them out of existence.

What Do YOU Want The Future of TTRPGs To Look Like?

I just want a more diverse industry with more companies taking a more equitably split piece of the market, an industry that allows creators (writers, artists, editors) to actually pursue a career without having to turn it into some sort of hussle culture side gig unless you work for one or two...
