Boy, do I second THAT. CC has saved my cleric's butt more than once when he absolutely needed an in-melee buff or heal spell NOW and was toe to toe with some nasties. But then, our party only had one true fighter so my cleric was in the front lines as well in the marching order to help him...

Sure you do. They are called Weapon Focus, Greater Weapon Focus, Weapon Specialization and Greater Weapon Specialization. :-) Seems to me those are must-haves for the fighters.

How about the Feat that saves 25% of all crafting costs? I forget it's name right now ("Magical Artisan"??) , but at first level it can be very useful since it makes all those scrolls cheaper for you to make. Since you will be short on funds and XPs, every little bit counts for a low level...

Very true. My Cleric8 is still using Hold Person as his favorite offensive combat spell. I do not regret taking SCP for him. And as a bonus, due to his current WIS, one more cleric level and I get a bonus 5th (!) level spell out of SCP. How cool is that? :cool:

A few ideas: 1) If plot isn't an issue, there are plenty of random dungeon generators out there, complete with traps, monsters and treasure. I am sure the challenge level in these can be geared down to a single PC. 2) Why not try one of those random programs to get rid of the DM completely...

I thought like this too, until it occurred to me that the +2 applies to every attack a multi-attack fighter gets per round. At high levels, that +2 can easily mean +4 , +6 , +8, or +10 points of extra damage... every round. Like someone else said, it adds up quickly. And I am not even talking...
