How does Rary's allow you to memorize Ligtning Bolt? I don't recall it giving you the ability to prepare spells outside what you know. I am very curious because my cleric HAS the spell domain.

Not only can you do this, but a 1st level spellcaster with a +4 on his DCs would be SCARY against the foes he is likely to meet at that level. I say good thinking!

As a cleric, I got very excited when reading the Bestow Curse description...until I read that it had a "Will negates" save. Why bother Cursing when you can Hold Person someone with the same exact chance of success? They are toast after being Held. Oh yeah and as an added bonus Hold Person...

The biggest argument for using STR instead of CHA for Intimate, at least in some cases, is the half-orc example. That is, because an average half-orce gets a -2 on CHA, he is actually LESS intimidating than the average old lady crossing the street who gets no such penalty. Seems stupid...

Idon't think so. I think the original intent of Silent Spell and Still Spell were to allow ways of getting around a Silence Spell and being held or bound, respectively. However, nothing wrong with using them to be sneaky as well, as you suggest.

Actually, the answer just occurred to me. It would be "NO"..unless YOU personally (from your head) cast both the permanency and the spell to be permanenced. Which means you need to be pretty high level to pull this trick off. Leaves me out. :(
