    Half-Celestial (w/out Wings)

Well it was mostly just the "its changed, thats how it is" explanation from 3 to 3.5 and the fact the next level it gets, (assuming I keep playing it) basically buys off the additional +1 ECL from 3-4. It did have wings in 3.0, I was just using the template out of the back of the Monster Manual...

    Half-Celestial (w/out Wings)

Anyone got any good ideas for converting my 3.0 HC over to 3.5? The +1 to the ECL and some big changes kinda made it really hard for my HC cleric its sort of in limbo as to if I will keep playing it. :(

    swearing

Yeah, you just stay on your side of the pond and I'll stay on mine and everything will be just apples :D (PS: stop exporting rap music... please) Anyway, this thread hasnt been a total loss to me, actually its a funny read and its given me a new idea for the next time one of my characters gets...

    Fighter/Wizard a good choice now! [3.5]

Yep, yep, yep... comming from someone who painfully transferred their 2E ftr/wiz into 3E and spent months being a frigging gimp and then. Now sort of fumbling around in 3.5 trying not to look too clueless and pretend not to cry everytime some monster goes "meh!" as spells rebound off its hide...

    swearing

Most D&D characters Ive got dont swear much as in-character, though I do have a dark elf who will curse people out and make devils blush... then nuke them, (its all about making them feel small and impotent) then the chained and empowered disintergrate comes off. Otherwise its not heroic...

    Clone: OUCH!

lmao! Ah thats naughty... /squirrels it away for later Considering the amount of fights the average PC gets into over their life Im pretty sure more than a cubic inch has been hacked out on at least one occassion. After all, Mr Orky carries a battleaxe because its handy for cutting chunks out...

    Funny spell names

"Quimby's enchanting gourmet" was always my fave from 2E, you could make anyone eat anything and not know about it. Usefull when you had a surplus of 'orc bits' and the paladin was a whuss and wouldnt eat his greens. "Power Word Castrate" has a distinct 'charm' that would these days probably...

If they can make a movie out of video games...

Dont forget the horror that was "Wingcommander" oh, how I loved those games, hired the movie and eeeeeeew!!! The whole GDQ1-7 Unfortunatly, I wouldnt trust most of the producers out there to NOT bork it in some way that would make GG cry... and probably the rest of us as well.

[OT] Who are YOU and what do you DO?

Lots of interesting people here, Im probably not one of them... :) Well, Im 31, unmarried, never married, no kids and like it like that just fine. I work too hard in a job that probably dosnt pay enough for the the stress it gives me and have managed to snag 2 weeks leave as I havent had a...

[The End of the World of Darkness] What's White Wolf got up its sleeve?

And blowing up the forgotten realms would be a bad thing? "Illithid Spelljammer Death Star will be in range in five minutes" ;)

D&D 3.x Spell Focus 3.5: WAH! Was it that bad?

Funny how the 'default setting' gets kicked down to accomodate a Forgotten Realms PrC that dosnt really fit into the 'default setting' but I guess thats why we got Red Wizzies as well. Maybe its time for Wotc to think about what the default setting actually is, yes thats nice, you whored it up...

D&D 3.x Suggestions to fix the Sorcerer skill list (3.5e)

Do what everyone else who plays a class with bugger all skill points does, stick some stats in intelligence. If your going to give 2 extra skill points to a class that spends most of its days contemplating how pretty he/she is and picking up at the local, then you might want to give everyone...

    "I barf on the troll..."

Mores the question though, why would a character in a medievil fantasy setting actually know what is in their stomach? Theres a few character types I might let get away with it, a specialist necromancer, maybe a wizard or sorc with know-alchemy and maybe a cleric with a high level of heal...

How many have or intend to buy 3.5 books?

After finding out some of the changes on the weekend that wont let me bring a current character over from 3.0 as its changed too much Im going to be petty and not buy them. I'll print out the SRD, stick it in the relative parts of some cheap 3.0 2nd hand copies and wotc can jam it up their arse.

    Encounters with the Supernatural

When I was a kid I used to freak out my mum by being able to, for a common term I think they use is to 'project' your mind outside your body and wander around. She remembers me telling her all sorts of things like where lost objects where or hear conversations about things the neighbours talked...

Statistically Proving Bad Luck (Help Appreciated)

Im one of the people out ther that can consistantly suck arse at dice rolling, point-buy systems are my friend otherwise I end up with characters with 10, 10, 8, 12, 14... *gunshot* I can make a great character, use tactics, think out a situation over days and then hit the table, roll the dice...
