    HELP!!! Polearms and Sunder

In magic of faerun there is a permenant spell with no material component that increases the hardness of an object by a few hp's. (some fraction of the caster's level). If your DM allows the spell in his setting you could hire an NPC to cast it for you. I believe that the spell is call...

    Spiked Chain Rules?

From the SRD: Trip an opponent [Varies][AoO: No] A character can try to trip an opponent as a melee attack. A character can only trip an opponent who is one size category larger than a character, the same size, or smaller. Making a Trip Attack: Make a melee attack as a melee touch attack. If...

Feats for a 20th level Frost Giant barbarian.

Improved Bullrush, they're frost giants so chances are they'll be able to push the characters wherever they wish. then plan some fun places to push the party. (such at through the threat zones of all of those other giants)

Need response fast: Books to get for christmas

I'd suggest the path books by FFG (path of magic and path of the sword) and, if you ever DM, the Monster's handbook from FFG. (Actually what I'd realy suggest is Guns Germs and Steel, (a book I read last spring) but it has absolutly nothing to do with d20. Man, was that ever a great book.)

How do you keep your familiar alive?

Before I had my character change his familiar to an air elemental, the familiar always ran away at the first sign of trouble. Only if the party got hit by area of effect spells before the character acted did the familiar ever really come into to danger.

[poll] should initiative bonuses from seperate feats stack?

Slightly off topic but still relevant is this; Another initiative booster for a character with a familiar is to change the familiar into an air elemental by use of the elemental familiar spell from the WotC website.

Good Medium size creature for Polymorph?

a nymph? A gargoyle, you pick a good bit of natural armor this way.

    Broken spells?

33 posts and no one has yet spoken of greater magic weapon? (I think that reducing the number of arrows that it can effect or lowering the duration to 10/minutes per level are urgently called for.) The persistant spell metamagic feat is a game breaker. I would definately refrain from putting...

CR of a 10th level Psion Illithid

The Monster's Handbook from FFG has a system for CR modification that takes this approach. It looks good to me but I haven't used it myself. (I tend to play a great deal of D20 but run games using other systems.)

    Polymorph other on self?

Any reason why a spellcaster couldn't cast this one on himself or herself?

    Clerical Spell Lists

Here's a site that I've used before www.daggerford.com the maintainer has a database set up to search with filters for source book, class, level, and a few more things IIRC

    Worth of a spellbook

You could figure out how much it costs to make the book; A blank spellbook is has a cost of 15 gp It costs 100gp per page to scribe a spell into a book A spell takes up 2 pages per level (level 0 spells fit on to a single page) Does this help at all?

Magic Item for review: Hawkborne's Magical Missile Launcher

PErsonally, I would change the name so that the item isn't confused with the magic missle spell. The bow of true strike (from sword and fist) is one such item.

Dragon with Blindsight see exactly what an invisible pc is doing?

Invisibility purge dispells/ supresses invisibility for the duration of the spell. It does not allow the caster to see invisible objects. (In theory, there won't be any invisible objects in the area. (see phantom fungus)) edit: OH! the question was "does the rogue see himself while he's...

Okay I just downloaded the D&D FAQ and the DotF FAQ from Wizards. I haven't found the correction yet. Do you have a page reference?

    Playing a Ranger

when you get to a level where you can have animal companions teach them to aid and to flank. your skills rock: spot, listen, hide, move silently find ways to use these. if you aren't playing a human (like your elf idea) take human as a favored enemy. I don't know how to maximize your spell...

Permanant haste for a +3 enhancement

Last night I became aware of the nimbleness enchantment from Defenders of the faith. My cursury reading of this enchantment gave me the impression that nimbleness provides a +4 bonus to AC and an extra partial action every round. and the impression that nimbleness is a +3 enhancement bonus...

    Pressing Attack

While I don't have the books with me, I believe that it only functions for a 5 foot step and only when the opponant is moving away from you. (the second part keeps pole arm users with pressing attack from owning the world) (at least that's how we used it in the Midnight playtest IIRC.)

Fantasy Flight Games: Song of Fire and Ice`

Personally I wouldn't use d20 (as seeen in D&D anyhow). For song of Ice and fire the large number of hit points that an advanced character would have would give more of a feeling of security than I think is warranted from the books. Personally I'd choose Riddle of steel to run the game. Of...
