How often do sex and romance come up in your games?

Both always, i can't think of a single campaign where they didn't come up from time to time. Now it could be as simple as the rogue seducing the barmaid. Or as complex as a PC on PC love story that spanned over a year of RL time. They started out hating each other and ended up deeply in love...

    D&D Next Q&A

No it was not to derail. It was saying I didn't think your metaphor worked the way you guys was using it. I don't really care about your argument or either side of it. It seems like you are trying to pick a fight, so have fun.

    D&D Next Q&A

My point was about the bike is someone that has never ridden a bike can help someone else learn to ride a bike easy enough. Just run beside them holding the back to help them keep their balance. Someone that has never GMed would be of little help in teaching someone else to GM. same with web...

    D&D Next Q&A

The two of you using a bicycle to have your discussion. Well learning to ride a bike is a bad example. A better example would be learning how to create a web page. Which can be done a few ways. 1) Go to school and be taught. 2) Have someone teach you personally. 3) Learn on your own by trial and...

    D&D Next Q&A

Hmm it was a interesting read, but I am not sure I understand things any better than I did before I read it.

    D&D 5E (2014) PDFs and Next

Couple of problems, for one it sounds like if it is ran client side from WotC that would mean you would need internet to access it. That would be a no go for me. Secondly the bold part would also be a major issue for me and defeat part of the reason I want PDF's. A example I am running a PFRPG...

    D&D 5E (2014) PDFs and Next

No PDF's or some other way to allow me to buy digital books, download them and keep them on my PC would likely be a deal breaker for me, least for me buying stuff. Unless 5E just turned out to be the best game ever from my point of view, then I would still buy the books but bitch about no PDF's...

    Teleportation

What my group did long ago was decided. You can't teleport to somewhere you have never personally been in person before.

    What is your playstyle?

A lot of liquor and not much in the way of clothes. ;)

D&D 5E (2014) Do you want D&D Next to succeed?

I don't think that would happen. Hasbro as far as I know has never sold a IP once they owned it. Instead the mothball them and then in 10, 20 years later they bring them back and see if they stick. If 5E fails I wouldn't be remotely surprised if that doesn't happen.

D&D 5E (2014) Do you want D&D Next to succeed?

I would rather DnD be a popular game. But I won't be happy or unhappy if I find it is not a game I want to play. I will check it out and if it is a game I enjoy I will play it and maybe buy books for it. I think the designers are people that love gaming and want to make a fun game that other...

    Testing a theory

I don't worry about it and the classes I like to play(when I get to play I GM more than I play) the most starting at the top. Rogue Other (Witches, Ranger, Inquis from Pathfinder) Fighter Arcane - Wizards and Sorc Divine - Druid and Cleric.

    D&D 5E (2014) Another D&D Next Playtest Survey

I can see where you are coming from, but it hasn't been my experience always. While I do agree with you a little. I am playing Pathfinder right now so that shapes my responses. In my experience when it happens no one felt it ruined their fun and instead people would cheer including the...

    D&D 5E (2014) Monster Creation in D&D Next

I was just thinking the same thing. I am not a fan of the article, the str for something large size only being 18 same as a strong PC was not a fan of, hill giant being mentioned at a str 20. Then con only adding once, which seems to make high con less important for higher "level" monsters at...

For NPC casters what I do. Is I consider them my character for a moment. Living where ever they live and with the NPC's goals. Then I ask myself what would be the spells I would on a average day have. Then those are the ones I give the NPC's. Which is another reason my examples above work on my...

D&D 5E (2014) Should there always be a chance of failure in D&D Next?

I voted other, because some things should be so trivial as to not be able to fail. Like a carpenter of 20 years making a book shelf, they are just not going to mess that up. But I think the take 10 mechanic pretty much fixed that. So on things you have to roll that are not trivial then yes I...

Has anyone gotten Rise of the Runelords?

Yes a friend of mine picked his up already from the store. But I wouldn't panic about it yet, I know sometimes local stores don't get the books till a week after the release date.

    D&D 5E (2014) [Poll] 15 Minute Adventuring Day, 5e, and You

No but then we rare had that happen with 3.5 or now Pathfinder. So in that regard it played much the same as most of our games.

That's true, I don't run a lot of lost treasure adventures either, but I do sometimes obviously :). They was just both fairly recent adventures that made my point that I had run and I was going back and doing a journals of the parties earlier travels and was thinking about them. Both where part...

By what I bolded, means you misunderstood what I wrote. Perhaps I wasn't clear enough or you just missed it. I said the characters had no reason to track the goblins, because they got what they wanted. The players while not upset because they had fun, would have preferred to have killed the...
