    Ptolus, where's the grab?

Care to expand on that? I've been curious about Chaositech as well but haven't had time to dive into the pdf provided. Didn't it come out before 3.5?

    What settings do you love?

Cool map Psion. I see that you have a spot called Burning Sands. Any relation to Alderac's Legend of the Burning Sands CCG? Probably not seeing how you also have a place for Hamunaptra. AEG was good enough to provide us with a few hints of that land in their various Rokugan supplements but it...

    Magic Item Compendium

I'm almost certain I'm buying it but what's most important to me is as complete a list of magic item special materials as possible. For example, glassteel (I think it's called) is detailed as a sidebar in one of the Forgotten Realms sourcebooks. Even though I own the book it took me days to find...

Gaming store goodness in San Francisco?

Gator Games. I thinks it's on 32nd street a block or so from El Camino Real. I haven't been there in several months but they always struck me as friendly and competent if a bit crowded and small. Endgame seems to be the destination of choice. I think they are having a minicon next week btw.

Gaming store goodness in San Francisco?

What people don't realize about SF is that it's one the best foodie towns in the country. Only NYC is better imo. As far as gaming is concerned, yes Gamescape is really the only game in town (excuse the pun). There are some good stores across the bay (Berkeley) and on the penninsula (San...

    Worlds Largest City on Amazon

Anyone try to order it from Amazon? I know the chances are slim of getting it but with a 37% discount and free shipping I don't really see the risk of at least trying. They wont charge me for it until (and if) it ships. It will be at least another month before they get it to me but I'm in no...

Still waiting for news about the future of d20 Modern

I'd love to see a revision of d20 Modern but i don't think it will happen 'till after D&D 4e is out. The rules work well enough but it could use a complete makeover from top to bottom if nothing else to make better use and expand d20 Future. I've given up on the game and moved on to Spycraft...

SW saga edition overview at WotC

So far the only change that I find anoying is the use of miniatures. Notice they say nothing about not requiring them. Ovbiously we can use chits or pennies or whatever but it's painfully obvious WotC really, REALLY wants us to buy miniatures. And not only in PC combat but also starship combat...

    Best (and worst) of 2006

These are the products that stand out in my mind: Ptolus Tome of Battle: The Book of Nine Swords Power of Faerun Note that I'm much more of a fluff (as opposed to crunch) guy. There are obvious exceptions but on the whole I get more out of setting material than just another set of feats...

    city of the spider queen

I'll look around for the 3.5 conversion. In the meantime you can find the artwork here: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ag/20060417a

    Dragonmarked

I've just started reading Hellcow's trilogy and it's made me go out and buy the book a bit sooner than expected. I'm still going through it and enjoying the depth dragonmarks give to the setting. Aberrant marks certainly get a nice boost and when you combine it with the Tarkanan writeup in...

Homebrews - Stealing the best - what to steal?

Wildwood from Bastion games certainly sound interesting. I don't own it mind you but that's not for lack of trying. I've been searching high and low for a copy and am about to give up and just buy a copy directly from the company. As far as Five Fingers is concerned, sorry, I haven't seen any...

Homebrews - Stealing the best - what to steal?

I get to play so rarely I really haven't had a chance to get some of the more traditional and overused favorites out of my system. To whit I submit for your consideration: Shades - more versatile than any single race because it's a template and can be overlayed onto any existing race. Cool if...

Eyes of the Lich Queen on Amazon.com

I don't know but I did notice that the books title was recently changed to Eyes of the Lich Queen. Before that it was something about a "dragon eye" or something...I can't recall.

Eyes of the Lich Queen on Amazon.com

I'm sure others have spotted this listing on Amazon set for release in April 2007. Do we know anything about it? I know it's set in Eberron and comes in at 126 pages. From here it looks to me like an adventure but it's hard to say for sure. Those of you who are Eberron experts can probably...

    Dragon #351?

This loogs very interesting. I've only read PSS but ever since I've been extremely curious to see what the inhabitants of Bas Lag actually look like. I hope they get some good artists because half of what makes Bas Lag interesting are the visuals I have in my head.

    Dragon #351?

Looks good. I don't usually get my issues until the well after everyone else so I might have to wait a few weeks. Shemeska, glad to see you got an article published. Is this your first? If not, what other articles did you write? I subscribe to the magazine but if I didn't I'd gladly pay to see...

    World's Largest City [Merged]

I'll probably end up buying it although I'm in no rush given the rather extensive reading pile I have to go through first. As far as the lack of hype, I've noticed the same thing from AEG since the release of SpyCraft 2.0. I don't understand it myself but maybe they believe that word of mouth...

Who is the coolest death god(dess)?

I always liked Nerull but we really don't know that much about him. Here's hoping we see an extended article on him in Dragon someday.

    Fiendish Codex Preview

Looks like a BUY to me. the prestige classes (and the Soulguard specifically) made me think of that article all those years ago in Dragon Magazine where they gave us a paladin for each alignment. I think the article was titled "A Plethora of Paladins" or something like that. I always liked that...
