How much money have you spent on 3.x?

Ballpark figure. Do you think the amount is at all related to your acceptance of 4.0? I'm into it well above $1,000+. If I had to guess I'd say it's more like $2,500 or $3,000 but that's just a guess. I'm looking forward to 4th edition and not looking back.

D&D 4E Lack of interst in posting since 4e announcement?

It's actually more of an art book than an actual game supplement. That would be all fine and good if it were actually well put together. It's not. It's the sorriest excuse of a nostalgia book I think WotC has ever put out. Complete trash. Page through it at your FLGS, put it back and step away...

D&D 4E Lack of interst in posting since 4e announcement?

QFT. Have you seen the new Dungeon Survival Guide? What a titanic pile of crap that is. I understand they have to fill the catalog and production schedule but this so-called book is an embarrassment. I've all but dropped RPG's and moved on to video games. PC games to be precise. Between WoW...

Warlocks or Psions. Which matters more to you?

No I didn't. You give people a third choice it voids the purpose of the question. If you have no opinion then the poll is not for you.

Warlocks or Psions. Which matters more to you?

All this talk about Warlocks made me realize how little I care about this new class. Yes, it's cool and "new" but psions will for ever be more important to me and it bugs me that they always get treated like the red-headed stepchild of the family. Give me psionics first damn it! Which do you...

Forgotten Realms: History of the Realms

I just got my copy so I haven't had enough time to digest it all but one thing I did notice is that the original pdf had a reference page that listed where the entries in the timeline came from. It's missing from the book. Also the original pdf color coded the entries to correspond with the...

Game stores in the Sunnyvale / San Francisco Area

What he said. If D20 is what you're after Gator Games is a good choice. EndGame in Oakland did not impress me at all with their RPG selection. I think they don't concentrate that much on big names (D20, storyteller) because they realize most people can buy that stuff much cheaper online. Sure...

D&D 4E Is 4E winning you or losing you?

I trust the developers to make 4th edition better than 3.x and for that reason have been looking forward to the new edition for some time now. I'm not worried about the changes they are be making. I'm so unconcerned in fact that I stopped paying attention to the fluff details some time ago...

    Fantasy craft??? will you bother?

Getting back to the original point of the thread I'd like to echo KoOS's sentiment where he stated Guys...seriously. One project at a time. I know it's difficult and at times a little boring to work on the same book for a prolonged period of time but I just don't get how you can all of a sudden...

What Should Be Done With Psionics?

I kinda like this idea. In fact we should do it for 3.5 regardless. It's just fluff and color but I think it can add a lot of flavor to a setting. You could even come up with different names depending on where the psion learned the power. The Exalted RPG has names like this for their various...

What Should Be Done With Psionics?

I've enjoyed the 3.5 incarnation of psionics and agree that it is a solid jumping off point however there are a few issues that need to be addressed in order to better incorporate them with the rest of the rules. First and foremost psionic use by NPC's and monsters is a very big issue IMO. The...

    Best single volume RPG?

The 1st or 2nd edition Heavy Gear rulebook are entirely self contained. They include not only RPG rules but tactical battle rules as well. Fun as hell too.

Are templates a part of 4th edition?

Do we know? I've been trying to keep up on all the news about the new edition but I'm sure I've missed a few things. Has there been mention of this anywhere?

Favorite Pirate city: Freeport vs. Five Fingers vs. Sasserine

Five Fingers FTW! I suspect that most people who voted for Freeport or Sasserine have not read Five Fingers. If they had they'd realize that it's in a league all it's own.

Mike Mearls now employed by WotC

I dont' know what the exact quote was but didn't WotC say that they had 3.5 supplements planned "well into 2008"? Well they do. From here it looks like at least a third of 2008 will still cover 3.5. I don't see a lie here. Others might take well into 2008 to mean September or even December but...

    PHB, MM, DMG covers

I think the artwork is fine but not WAR's best work. I would have preferred an action scene incorporating both heroes and villains. I'm also not fond of the white band at the top. It's there to just provide contrast to the title and ends up taking away from the artwork. The covers are fine...

4th Ed. D&D Charater Generation software

Will it really do everything WotC is implying? I have my doubts. Will I really be able to create a dwarven 10th level ranger/ 15th level rogue with all his feats, skills, magic items and equipment and perhaps a template or two (if such things still exist in 4th edition) and have it all calculate...

What old setting would you like to see republished?

The old settings bore me. I want something new. Time to put the past behind us and move forward.

    Dragon/Dungeon archives on CD/DVD?

I own the original Dragon Magazine CD-ROM and every single issue of dragon since then except one (#251!). I also own every issue of Dungeon printed since 3rd edition was announced. Even so I would buy a compilation in a heartbeat. There's no way such a product would cost less than $50 and more...
