I like the previewed items. The most interesting bit of info for me though, was that there may be a limit on how many times a character can activate magic item powers in a day, regardless of how many items the character lugs around.

Awesome. I missed that it was specified to be 1st. I was only guessing at the level 11 because the mini is level 11 and it only had a couple of powers. Level 1 attack power seems right when compared to the other level 1 warlord encounter powers.

I think you can do more powerful monster races by giving more powerful racial benefits as powers that must be taken in place of some of your class powers, sort of like multiclassing. Combine this with racial feats and you can have a balanced monstrous character without the pain of level adjustment.

I like 4E, but I think your song is pretty darn hilarious and has a hint of reality in it. I can really imagine some old gamer with his worn old die and Dew can grumbling in some neighborhood game store as he is forced to play 4E.

The human wizard pregen does specify (under the entry for Class Feature: Spellbook) that he has two daily spells, but selects one after an extended rest, and can only cast one per day.

That makes sense, jeffhartsell. Though as a nitpick it is strange the the minions are level 9 while the chieftain himself is only level 8.

I can't remember what the source was, but I think we did get somewhat recent confirmation that humans get +2 to any ONE stat, rather than to two stats.

I like the overall design decision with the angels, except I dislike the look of the new angels. The art in the excerpt is not so bad, but the miniatures of angels WOTC has made so far are horrible. I think human yet more than human looking angels are much more inspiring than robots with wings.
