People have mentioned the square bases but another thing along those lines that has bothered me is the general size increase. As their bases are so huge now, fighting Ogres or other large creatures in the typical D&D environ - a dungeon - is a lot easier since they can only come at you 1 by 1...

Having given scry quite a workout in an RttToEE campaign, both before and after the change to 3.5, I really like the 3.5 changes and how it worked with the skill... The drawback is of course as Psion pointed out that lots of old 3.0 NPCs are statted out with the skill.

After wrestling with the math to maximize damage output with power attack I would rate high-level fighters and barbarians with that feat at the high end of the scale. :)

Yes, it would be great to see such a product -- I would definitely buy it. But from the interview on Tor's web site it seems the warrens-driven magic system was purposely created to be vague and not easily translatable into an RPG.

Not sure about that, the Bodak is what, around CR7 or 8, with save or die gaze effect. So unless there was no save than the slakemoths wouldn't be that high. Notice the adventurers, while defeated, gave out to them quite a bit. :)
