Hearing Ys-Korros' words, Pyior explains the conversation so far to his companions. He then asks, "Err... Those of my race who have undergone the transformation to a Spryte lose the ability to reproduce. Were you born as a spryte? And are you sure you can have a child with a Faen?"

I do the same as Herpes for the same reason. Straight up initiative roll and to blunt the effectiveness of that tactic.

Pyior sighs, gathers himself, and answers her in Faen "Yes, I do find you alluring, but I must be cautious in this dangerous forest, and I don't know if you intend harm to me. Allow me to ask - what is your motivation? I would think you are wanting to be with child were you not a spryte."

In that case another thing that works well is listing what books you DO like, with maybe a short explanation of why, and asking for more recommendations along those lines.

It'd be a lot easier to make recommendations without the bizarre specifications. :) I don't get it. I never say "I want to read a book about two alien species at war." I might be in the mood for SF over fantasy, more literary over light, etc. Just curious why the exacting specs? Research for...

Oh, I also meant to say that I think Deadhouse Gates is the best book of the series. It's really hard to rank them in strict order other than that for me. Honestly I would probably put Gardens of the Moon at the bottom for various reasons.

There are a planned ten books, but I wouldn't be surprised to see that change as we near the end in seven years or so. (Another good thing about this series is that they have been released at a brisk pace. But it might be two years for the next one.)

I was running around Skyway City and I happened upon a Troll Lieutenant named.... Caliban. I wonder if one of the devs hang out here. Seems like to much of a coincidence. The name isn't that troll like... Or am I missing some common origin of the name? Not like Caliban is a troll or anything. ;)

Pyior can't help but consider the question, and as he feels a slight stirring below he comes to the realization that he was interrupted right in the middle of releaving himself. Pyior blushes slightly, turns around (but still remembers to keep an eye on her with his peripheral vision, again...

Pyior is suspicious and asks, "Why the need for silence, spryte sister?" Pyior gets ready to yell for assistance at the first sign of violence or spellcasting.

I did a similar thing, and will never forget someone clicking me to check out my equipment and laughing, then yelling to the zone "Hey! Look at this guy's shoes!" Reminded me of a real life episode in elementary school. :p

Actually I quit EQ just as it wasn't "casual gamer" friendly. After my daughter was born I couldn't afford to put in the time required. I've heard good things about CoH along those lines.
