For weapon proficiencies at least, if you are trating it as a class/race, just use the defaults in the Monster Manual. You could even use the same HD and skill points per HD/level.

A silly question, perhaps, but I'm preparing to play a cleric and just realized that I don't know if my cleric can cast some of these spells on himself, or just other characters. Does a range of "touch" (example, Cure Light Wounds) mean I can only cast it on others?

If you wanted to role play out the fact that you are searching for some extra-special magic item, and describe what you are looking for, I'm pretty sure the DM might get the hint. Or you could just talk to him, if you want to take the easy route.

These seem very interesting, very close to the flavor I was seeking. It seems like an odd kind of a "cold rage" that focuses less on "walloping" the other guy and more (selfishly, perhaps) on saving your own skin.
