    CORELINE (D20 Modern/D20 BESM Setting).

I'd actually think that Celestial Being would work with Terminal, which is supported by ORB, instead of being directly affiliated with them. The Preventers, and thus probably also the Gundam Pilots, from the After Colony timeline, would probably also work with Terminal and Celestial Being. Also...

    D&D 5E (2014) Designing Monsters for 5E (Hobgoblin)

I personally would rather have generic variants of monsters when possible, rather than having a bunch of variants for every single monster. So for instance you might have a skirmisher, footman, a tribal leader, etc. to which you then apply the attributes for the race in question, perhaps with a...

    XP as dated?

I don't have predetermined conceptions on when PCs should level. Instead, how much xp they are able to get determines when they should level. That's why I use xp. My campaign is very player driven and also it's not certain whether the PCs will succeed or not.

I want to play an "Uncle Buck" style rogue.

Well the assumption that a dungeon-crawling campaign will consist of killing every monster you encounter is far from universal. It's possible that an "Uncle Buck" like character will prove able to con monsters out of their treasure or otherwise provide alternate ways of dealing with such obstacles.

What do you want from the Monster Manual?

For creatures like orcs, goblins, kobolds, etc. I'd rather see a bunch of generic stats that can be used for any of them, with the racial traits then added on. This is mostly to avoid cases like the goblin warrior and kobold skirmisher being almost identical and thus being a waste to have two...

    CORELINE (D20 Modern/D20 BESM Setting).

I've been reading through the thread. I haven't gotten through it all so when writing this post there might be missing some things. I don't necessarily agree with some of the implementations of Gundam related series. ZAFT being disassembled by the other colonies? That's extremely unlikely, even...

    CORELINE (D20 Modern/D20 BESM Setting).

I seriously think Coreline needs a wiki to help keep the ideas everybody is coming up with organized. the Divine Crusaders The Divine Crusaders are an organization from the Super Robot series of video games. They were founded by Bian Zoldark to fight off alien threats. In Coreline this has...

    CORELINE (D20 Modern/D20 BESM Setting).

Londo Bell There are several organizations called Londo Bell on Coreline, as well as similar organizations, the AEUG, the League Militare, the Alpha Numbers, the Three (or Four, or Five...) Ships Alliance, etc. Not surprising, since there many incarnations of these organizations, from the...

What can I use instead of kobolds, goblins & orcs?

Gremlins, mites and ratfolk are all possibilities.

    Can XP handle a dial?

    As I understand it, yes.

    Urban Kingmaker

You could consider the two blocks to be "destroyed" until the PCs can rebuild. In this case the "rebuilding" might represent less construction work and more just preparing the buildings for human habitation and the logistical aspects of moving the people in.

    Can XP handle a dial?

Interesting piece of gaming history. In the Blackmoor campaign (i.e. Dave Arneson's campaign) the first dungeon crawl had only one survivor. This was his first adventure and for surviving it he was promoted to "hero"-level, basically the equivalent of 4th level. No xp involved at that point. I'm...

    Can XP handle a dial?

I'd like to see xp for treasure, xp for quests and rules/guidelines for using different ratios for each. For instance getting like 15 xp or so, for one goblin, thus 150 xp for a group of 10, but getting say 300 xp from they're horde of 3000 silver pieces, for a total of 450 xp. Also, rules for...

Turns and Rounds - relooking at exploration

I'm currently looking for a reference in my 1st edition DMG, but at least in some modules you would roll for random encounters every turn. So that's one possible reason for there existence, measuring how often you roll for random encounters.

    Death is Final

Well thing is that the construct of the adventuring party will be a temporary one in this campaign. A new party will be formed every session from whomever is there to play. I'm looking to get more than just the 3-6 players that most groups consist of, so that if a player does opt to start a new...

    Death is Final

The spell Raise Dead was first introduced in Volume 1 of the Original D&D boxed set. So it's always been a part of the game since it was first sold. At what point it became available in the original Blackmoor and Greyhawk campaigns I'm not sure. Now I have a very simple solution to the problem...

What new game? D&D Next is not a new game it's Dungeons and Dragons.

What type of adventuring do you prefer?

I voted lots of little adventures. While I'm playing (or at least planning on playing) a megadungeon campaign (the Monster Hill campaign in my status currently and sig), I consider the megadungeon to not be the adventure. The adventure in this case is each individual expedition into the dungeon.

After Ed Greenwood's FR: Gary Gygax's Greyhawk

If this were to be done I'd strongly suggest they get Rob Kuntz in on it. He was the co-DM of the Greyhawk campaign.

Paladins: Lawful Good only and other restrictions

Did I mention Arthurian myths? No. If I did I'd refer to specific characters like Galahad. More relevant would be the Paladins of Charlemagne. Sure the Saracens would have seen them as villains and being medieval knights they were probably jerks, but in say, the Song of Roland they're presented...
