    Thongs

Thongs are popular and mainstream now so I guess they are at least moderately comfortable. What I want to know is how uncomfortable... freaking painful... a brazilian wax is.

Why are my FLGS completely ignorant?

So, Mystery Man. I understand you work in the IT department of a community college. Can you tell me the release date of Cocoon 2.2? You do know what Cocoon is, right? ;)

Pirating RPGs. (And were not talking "arggg" pirate stuff here.)

Ah, "lame". ;) There are many arguments, here are a few I like. * A pirated movie is BETTER than the legal DVD you purchase. No commercials you cannot fastforward, no region codes, no copy protection, you don't have to wait several months for the movie to be released where you live, _if_ it...

Faux pas - putting your worst foot forward

I won't elaborate what the Rocco-style is, but make sure the door is locked so the girls grandmother can't walk in when you are practicing it.

Denis Detwiller's "Ransom" was paid by one person? Cool!

This is the coolest thing I've heard since 3e was released several years ago. This idea has been used in the software world for a while, but it's much better suited for gaming and books. Wow. Bump or something. :)

Pirating RPGs. (And were not talking "arggg" pirate stuff here.)

Joshua, this is Linus: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linus_Torvalds Linus, get out of your sports car and say hello to Joshua. Some people make money from open source software. If anything, it's naive to claim the only way there will actually _be_ books/software/info is if someone gets paid to...

    Looking for a SMALL favor

Leprechauns! Not the cute kind from children's book, but the ruthless foul-mouthed kind they use in The Simpsons to make fun of Irishmens. I don't know if they are stat'ted, but they are small and have... intriguing... personalities!

So, what's your Slashdot UID? ;)

Do you by any chance work for the music industry? Just curious.

Pirating RPGs. (And were not talking "arggg" pirate stuff here.)

I don't know how DriveThrus watermarking works, but an idea is to use lots of different methods, such as randomly inserting a random letter in a random word on a random page. There will always be small typos in books, and it's much harder to remove than the "sigil" kind of watermark. Edit: You...

Pirating RPGs. (And were not talking "arggg" pirate stuff here.)

Copyright infringement people. Not theft, they are not thieves, they don't steal. If you download something from the internet, you do not steal it, and therefor you are not a thief. There are separate laws for copyright infringment and shoplifting for example. That's why it's refered to as...

    Funniest Home Dice Rolls

This was not D&D, and it was not really a bad roll, but it was fun and dice related so I'll post it anway. During a game of monopoly a friend of mine rolled his dice using some awkward kind of rotating and spinning motion with his wrist, imagine using a screwdriver and throwing a baseball at the...

Help. Eastern mysticism is impenetrable to me

Interesting, here are a few ideas: Wis instead of Int. High bonus to senses (spot, listen). Remove the "movement" component so all spells can be cast standing perfectly still.

    Stormwrack- Anybody got it?

Thanks for the info everyone, this is surely an interesting book. Say... Can anyone please give some information about the Scarlet Corsair prestige class? I play a Dread Pirate right now and it'd be nice with some comparison between the two. Cheers!

    Favorite Pizza Topping

Pepperoni must be a US thing, it's pretty uncommon in Europe as far as I know. Perhaps because it can mean both salami and bell pepper depending on who you ask? :) Anyhow, I prefer kebab on my pizzas, or just cheese and ham. Plain and simple.

[NO RANT] I'm not bringing my sister, because you're losers

Damn, I wish my brother (Decamber, if anyone remember him) said that, he lost interest in gaming a year and a half ago or so. Oh well. On the other hand, depending on the creepiness of your group, you probably did the right thing. :p

    Not like Dennis Lehane

They are very different. I loved the movie, gave it a 10/10 on IMDB even. Then I read the book a year later. For reference I watched the movie again, and it should more be 8/10 (7/10 and +1 for good acting). Everthing in the book is so much better, the Douglas Adams-like details everywhere you...

    Guilty Pleasure Movie

Terror in the Midnight Sun, also known as Space Invasion of Lapland, an US/Swedish horror/sci-fi from -59. I have seen this movie about a dozen times, it's the perfect flu-movie. And everyone else think it sucks badly. http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0053232/
