I absolutely loved Ray’s original Dungeoncraft articles about world building. They really inspired me. I still have a word doc of all of the articles that I copied, pasted and combined together from the D&D website many, many years ago.

My current DM may pick this up. He ran us through the 3.5E version of RttToEE and another in my group ran us through PotA. Might be interesting to see how a 5E update of the original compares.

Yep, works well for me too. I can use my minimal creative talents to spin your ideas and hooks into something that I know will work well for my group. Saves me a lot of time and frustration that way.

Unfortunately for me, my creative side is quite weak. I’m quite good at building on the ideas of others, but not so much at making things from whole cloth myself, so the need to create isn’t super strong. That and I’m super lazy! :)
