A tablet helps. the SRD ( http://dnd.wizards.com/articles/features/systems-reference-document-srd ) is useful. But copying the text can be annoying as the formatting doesn't transfer when you cut-and-paste. Both D&D Beyond and Roll20 have the SRD monsters online...

Take and cropping screenshots from my MM, I can fit all six statblocks into a page-and-a-half. I could probably cut-and-paste from the SRD as easily and shrink down the font to get them all on one page. That's an easy module, with so few critters.

Not being 45+ years old, I got my start with 2e. And never found the micro statblocks useful in the least. It was wasted space that only existed to help the small segment of DMs who had system mastery. Unless it was something like an orc or goblin, it wasn’t worth the sentence.

I remember seeing those while running adventures in my 2e days and they always seemed kinda useless. It was never enough to run anything but the simplest of monsters. You always needed to find the monster entry anyway.
