    D&D 5E (2014) D&D 5e Adventure Reviews

I do reviews over on my website 5 Minute Workday. I'll link to the longer reviews but give some quick thoughts here. Tomb of Annihilation. Amazing. I really liked this one. It's the one adventure I actually bothered to partially run, putting my players through the Tomb of Nine Gods. It has a...

D&D General Hey, are we all cool with having to buy the same book twice, or what?

Those are mini CDs. Different format from minidiscs.

D&D General Hey, are we all cool with having to buy the same book twice, or what?

Aside from paranoia/ cynicism, is there a reason to think we won't get DnDBeyond for the duration of 5e and longer? We have one point of reference and WotC kept it going over twice the lifespan of the edition (2010 to 2020, a full 10 years, with 4e being actively supported from 2008 to 2012 or...

D&D General Hey, are we all cool with having to buy the same book twice, or what?

I buy stuff all the time that I don't get to keep. Food. Drink. Clothes wear out. Books fall apart. Movie and music formats change. Stuff is transitory and fleeting. You pretty much can. You can save websites as PDFs. You just hit CTRL-P and print to PDF. Or you can save the HTML file and...

D&D 5E (2014) 5e most conservative edition yet? (In terms of new settings)

Yeah. But that content could be covered in a Manual of the Planes.

D&D General Hey, are we all cool with having to buy the same book twice, or what?

So you'd be okay with DnDBeyond if instead of paying $30 for a book every four months, you instead paid $10 each month for a year but lost access to everything the second you stopped paying?

D&D General Hey, are we all cool with having to buy the same book twice, or what?

What if D&D splits with OneBookShelf and all our current PDFs vanish? What if the Earth gets hit by the solar storm we're overdue for and we lose all our hard drives and current electronic libraries? What if we have a Red Dawn situation, China conquers the USA, and declares all RPG products...

D&D 5E (2014) 5e most conservative edition yet? (In terms of new settings)

And that's the thing. There's pretty much zero reason for WotC to do a Planescape book now as the hook overlaps with Ravnica and the signature feature (the Guilds) has been done.

D&D General Hey, are we all cool with having to buy the same book twice, or what?

I'm a librarian. It's my literal job to keep books intact. And I can tell you that the ONLY books that remain intact are ones not being read. The only way you can ensure you always have that library of physical books is to never, ever read them. Otherwise the glue cracks and pages fall out...

D&D 5E (2014) 5e most conservative edition yet? (In terms of new settings)

That description overlaps entirely with Ravnica.

D&D 5E (2014) 5e most conservative edition yet? (In terms of new settings)

Hey, remember that time there was a D&D setting about this funky planar city that was divided into warring factions seperated by philosophy, and the peace between them was tenuiously maintained by this all-powerful being?

D&D General Hey, are we all cool with having to buy the same book twice, or what?

Yes. Because when you buy a physical book, everyone knows you will have it FOREVER

D&D General Hey, are we all cool with having to buy the same book twice, or what?

Yes. Microsoft Silverlight will no longer be supported sometime in 2020, and without that the tools can't function. Thankfully, when DnDBeyond does vanish into the aether of the web—assuming no one has turned a webscraper onto it and copied it's files to make an offline version—it will be many...

Pathfinder 2E Actual AP Play Experience

First, I wonder if by not having sinking resources into the Battle Medicine feat tax, the party might have a better chance in combat. Which you say can already be hard. Second, I wasn't suggesting a free heal, but eliminating the arbitrary hour long recharge between using the Medicine skill...

D&D General Hey, are we all cool with having to buy the same book twice, or what?

And even then it ended not because it wasn't worth financially supporting or licensing issues but because the program needed to run the service was discontinued. Yeah. Every now and then I consider running OD&D or 1e, to see what they were like. But there are brand new games on my shelf I...

D&D General Hey, are we all cool with having to buy the same book twice, or what?

USB A or C? I had mine. I just spent like 30 minutes looking for it for the photo and had to go with a picture I took back in February because I have no forking idea where I stored it.

D&D 5E (2014) 5e most conservative edition yet? (In terms of new settings)

Because there is no flavour and crunch overlap in the official WotC settings?
