    Spoilers Agatha All Along discussion

I enjoyed the return of Ralph Bohner. We also got that Billy's boyfriend is named Eddie, which is not quite Teddy, but I wonder if there's going to be a post credits reveal for him. EDIT: Also what's Rio up to? My guess is it's animating corpses or making deals with ghosts.

Dungeons & Dragons Has Done Away With the Adventuring Day

Yeah, my point is will the DMG contain such advice? And said encounter with waves of enemies will also play differently depending on how many resources PCs have left.

Dungeons & Dragons Has Done Away With the Adventuring Day

Yeah, that's what I'm wondering too. A fight where spellcasters can nova and one where they are down half their spells are to very different fights even when they're against the same enemies. From what I see in the PHB, none of that has changed. Are we still going to get new DMs asking, "Why...

    Spoilers Agatha All Along discussion

I think seeing them as undead is another likely possibility. The show has already had at least one ghost.

    Spoilers Agatha All Along discussion

I enjoyed that Teen's "slumber party" outfit had the same color scheme as . Also Rio's reaction when the Ouija board says "Death." Ending was great. Was Teen playing them the whole time, or did Agatha just get to him and he snapped. Rio is conspicuously absent. Clearly the mud doesn't kill...

    Spoilers Agatha All Along discussion

I think her need is family/community, and the show is hinting at this in multiple ways. The most blatant is the witch's road, where she literally needs a coven to enter it and needs witches of various talents to find people. I bet by the end of the series she'll come to actually like them...

    Spoilers Agatha All Along discussion

Saw them both last night and enjoyed them. And is it me, or is the melody for "Down the Witches Road" a reworking of "Agatha All Along" (as in her theme song in Wandavsion)

D&D General Flute and Drum, or why should bards have all the fun?

Sneak Attack Press recently released the newest book in the This and That line and it's all about musical instruments: Flute and Drum. From Orpheus singing Cerberus to sleep, to the Pied Piper leading away children, to Thorin and company’s songs of the Lonely Mountain, music plays an important...

    Fiction Writer's Thread

I've written a handful of short stories that I'm shopping around to various markets, but so far no bites. I'm working on a novel and about 1/3 or the way through.

Brandon Sanderson's Stormlight Archive TTRPG Makes $1M In Under An Hour

I'll note that these examples are either books or book series, not authors. While Tolkien is pretty much synonymous with middle earth, Wizard of Earthsea is quite different from Left Hand of Darkness, even though they have the same author. I don't think I could sum up all Ursula K. Le Guin books...

D&D 5E (2024) 2025's Ancient Green Dragon Stat Block From The New Monster Manual

Little bit of tangent, but I've run a lot of dragons, and the tricky thing about green dragons is that poison is the easiest damage type to mitigate, at least in 2014. Protection from poison is 2nd level for a bunch of classes and doesn't require concentration. If the party has a druid or cleric...

    Looking for advice

This looks like a big red flag to me. You have every right to play in multiple campaigns, and your boyfriend should respect that. Quitting the other campaigns certainly would not make Pathfinder game more fun for you.

Savage Worlds - Things for me to Remember

I'll give a quick plug for the Crystal Hearts web comic, which does a great job of introducing the Savage Worlds rules: Crystal Heart Campaign Pitch | Up to Four Players

It's more like I forgot to activate the POD option when they were first ready and just realized it when I looked a the product description after getting nominated.

    Post-Apocalyptic Games

If I can pitch my own own book, I've written a setting called Broken Earth, which is available for either Savage Worlds or Pathfinder 1e.

    Am I being too optimistic?

Are you doing more prep than you need to? Yes. Is it likely that you will not use all the material? Probably. Consider another question: Are you having fun? If the answer is no, that all the prep feels like a burden, then slow down and see how things shake out before doing any more. But...

D&D General How often do you complete a campaign as a player?

This is mostly based on my experience, but I suspect that the biggest correlations with finishing campaigns has more to do with outside factors managing time and groups that fit well together. There was a a point in time in my where I was trying different gaming groups and had a lot of games...
