Rats in the Sewer: A D&D Next Fan Adventure

I hope it's okay if I perform a little thread necromancy. I thought it would be worth mentioning that every since I wrote these adventures, Drakonheim has been bouncing around in the back of my head. Recently I've started working on a mini campaign setting book for the city, that I think I'll...

And Here It Is - Wil Wheaton's TABLETOP RPG Show Is TITANSGRAVE: THE ASHES OF VALKANA

I think if the people at Table Top were going to let money make the choice, they could have gotten more money from a bigger publisher. I think what Green Ronin did provide is a lot of support with the game system and probably even let the people at Table Top have some input into the Fantasy Age...

Confirm or Deny: D&D4e would be going strong had it not been titled D&D

This sums up my thoughts pretty well.

Do you knowingly buy game books you don't intend to actually play

Yes, especially setting books, which I just like to read, and Kickstarter books, because I like to support those having run some myself.

The Biggest RPG Story of the Year?

These are two separate things. There's going to be an episode of the main show where they play Dread. Then there's also doing a spin off show where they follow a single RPG campaign for the whole season. I'm fairly certain they have not yet announced what RPG they'll be using for that campaign.

The Biggest RPG Story of the Year?

My guess is it's not a license, but that instead the setting will be what Wil Wheaton and friends play in the Table Top RPG Spin off.

Abstract Dungeon - Story Focused Dungeon Crawls

Sneak Attack Press is excited to announce the release of Abstract Dungeon. Abstract Dungeon is a new roleplaying game designed to be super fast and rules light. It emphasizes creative story telling over number crunching. You can use it as a quick pick-up game, introduce friends who are scared...

Cavemen, Wizards, Sky Pirates, and Cyborgs - The Kronocalypse is Nearly Funded!

Now we've got just over eight hours to go, and less than $300 to raise! As an added bonus, even if by some strange chance the campaign does not fund, I'm going to give everybody who backs at the $15 level or higher a copy of the final prelude adventure, A Mother Fragging Dragon. Check out the...

Cavemen, Wizards, Sky Pirates, and Cyborgs - The Kronocalypse is Nearly Funded!

We've got less than 48 hours to go, and we're nearly funded. If you want to get in on some time travel awesomeness (and you know you do), pledge now before it's too late!

Cavemen, Wizards, Sky Pirates, and Cyborgs - The Kronocalypse is Nearly Funded!

Just a week into the Kronocalypse Kickstarter campaign, we are already over 70% funded. Crossing the finish line seems inevitable, it's just a matter of time. Will you put the campaign over the top? Kronocalypse is a time-travel mash-up setting with a plot-point campaign for the Savage Worlds...

    SW Environmental Fire Damage

In addition to what Zadamar said, as of the Sci-Fi companion, environmental resistance also counts as armor against attacks of that type. (So +4 armor vs. fire damage). I think that would be appropriate to apply retroactively to older races.

If you were launching a new game, how would you promote it?

I recommend running your game at as many cons as possible.

    Savage Worlds Race Building

The one thing I'll add is that you shouldn't feel compelled to duplicate every last detail of a race. Try to get at its core and go for the spirit of it.

D&D 5E (2014) Hoard of the Dragon Queen Adventure - Will you run/play it?

My brother and his wife are wanting to get back into gaming after taking many years off for children, so I suspect I will run it for them.

Where do you buy your gaming stuff?

I buy from a wide range of sources. I am blessed to have several nice FLGS, two of which I game at. I try to buy something everytime I go in. Often this is just a food item, but I also pick up books and board games that I'm excited about. I also buy a fair number of things in .pdf usually...

D&D 5E (2014) Can you create YOUR character with basic D&D?

I am running two characters right now. (I don't have a standard option I like to play). One is a dwarf cleric, so no problem there. The other... is a warforged hybrid warden/warlord multiclass warlock. So no.

    Where is your home?

I don't have a home that I come back to. I like to explore knew thins and go from setting to setting.

Which Game Would YOU Choose for Wil Wheaton's Tabletop RPG Spinoff?

I the ability of a game to sustain a 20-episode campaign has more to do with the people playing it than the system, unless its something designed for a one-shot like Fiasco or Dread. I think the system will probably be some rules light so they can spend more time focused on character and...

What's the best part of an RPG to sell?

I have no real idea, but I highly doubt it's "Releasing the core books for free" since those are always the best sellers in a system. Honestly, I suspect that the above options are rather minor in terms of how profitable a game is. The more important questions are: Is it well written? Does it...
