D&D General The Resurrection of Mike Mearls Games.

If they actually read the DMG they would know the idea is to change the rules to suit your needs and it offers a ton of wonderful suggestions that can be used to modify the game to play how you want and it's... part of the rules.

D&D General Why Isn't There a D&D Table Top Miniatures War Game?

And this is why it’s a myth that 3D printing is killing miniature games manufacturers.

That requires a certain genius but I’ve followed his work since the D20 boom and his Necromancer Games modules.

D&D General Why Isn't There a D&D Table Top Miniatures War Game?

We got some on clearance for $7 I am all for miniature agnostic systems. Hasbro/WOTC/Wizkids though would release a product line with their branding and that is what people would go for. I am a huge Reaper collector, Bones Black, USA, RM and Metal are my go to miniatures so I could probably put...

D&D General Why Isn't There a D&D Table Top Miniatures War Game?

I would love a D&D themed war game, I think it could be really cool, especially if it were 40k in scale and handled things like the recent boarding actions (very dungeon like) expansions or Kill Team up to Battle of Emridy Meadows kind of stuff. The problem would be prices... with Wizkids...

D&D General Why Isn't There a D&D Table Top Miniatures War Game?

Little known is that McDonald's copied the Big Mac recipe from Big Boy... their Big Boy burger was introduced first and then McDonald's introduced the Big Mac.

Those are made by Wizkids, different company. Wizkids is owned by NECA.

Yet GW is experiencing a renaissance and massive profits. Common misconception that 3D printing is killing wargames.

D&D General Why Isn't There a D&D Table Top Miniatures War Game?

A friend of mine has the vast majority of the Ral Partha Battlesystem minis and I would say it was rather robustly supported. It was also before WFB became a huge battle game and was still in it's first edition skirmish/rpg mishmash. 1e Battlesystem was miniature agnostic, which was an industry...

D&D General Random House Announces Three New Licensed Dungeons & Dragons Books

I have a Witcher cookbook that my wife got me and she made this meat pie from it that was incredible. https://www.amazon.com/Unofficial-Witcher-Cookbook-Daringly-Delicious/dp/1646044126/ref=sr_1_2?crid=1D7RFBPTDHAPN&keywords=witcher+cookbook&qid=1705905459&sprefix=witcher+cook%2Caps%2C115&sr=8-2

D&D General The most played D&D Adventure of all time

I'd hesitate to say Phandelver. A lot of those boxes sold but how many played it? Maybe 30%? I am sure if they evergreen it it will get to Keep on the Borderlands level but unlike the Basic box, the STarter Set isn't really a "full game" and most people I know that at least started Phandelver...

The 5e DMG is fine. The magic items etc are all in it and the rules modules as well. People use a lot more of the DMG than they realize.

D&D 5E (2014) [Review] Valda's Spire of Secrets is my favorite expansion in all of 5E

The shady bit was dropping communication except to tell us about their next project. People were angry and we should be so that these things don’t happen. Trying to shame me into not being irritated by how it was handled is disingenuous. If you loaned me $200 and I told you I would pay you back...

D&D 5E (2014) [Review] Valda's Spire of Secrets is my favorite expansion in all of 5E

No you're projecting. I backed the kickstarter and when they stopped communicating with the backers while trying to get us to back other kickstarters I got a bad taste in my mouth and haven't bothered to look at it. That's the post. That's all it says. Cool, I got my stuff but it doesn't excuse...

D&D 5E (2014) [Review] Valda's Spire of Secrets is my favorite expansion in all of 5E

We backed it and haven't even bothered looking at it because the way MHP handled the kickstarter, no updates, shilling their new kickstarters to backers etc it left a bad taste in my mouth.

Do you have a source for that or is that your assumption because so far your objections don't have a lot of water to them? I'm not trying to be rude but you've deflected reasonable points to your claims but I haven't ever seen a retraction beyond WOTC removing the dates which, again, they've had...
