It just occurred to me that Bond and D&D have a lot in common for me. I’m not particularly excited about diving into new versions, but I’m very interested in how they are made. I’m looking more forward to discussing how the martini is made than actually drinking it.

Just jokin. Mank is pretty great, but its one of those films if you dont care about its subject and get the context it will likely bore you to tears. Which, is just like its subject matter Citizen Kane.

I think it makes sense when you consider that the choice seems to be use 5E and reskin or make your game something else. In this case 4E being the D&D something else and PBtA being non D&D something else. Mixing the two seems like a good idea.

I still have no idea how Alien 3 got made. It’s incredibly weird with an all male religious penal colony. It’s such an odd turn after Aliens. It’s kind of fascinating reading about A3 behind the scenes.

Right, I think the last Bond film that felt cold war-ish to me was Goldeneye and it did quite a bit to put it to bed. Honestly, I like the too powerful individual(s) approach better than governments anyways.
