What do you consider the quintessential knight in shinning armor?

Yea, Green Knight scared me with that post. I chose to pretend it wasnt there so I could retain what little sanity I have left. -=grim=-

    Newyorkers! This is for you!

Neutral Ground...ahhh, my old stomping grounds. ::sighs:: I miss that place. -=grim=-

    [ot]Magnamund - Lone Wolf Series

These links rock. I would be happy to contribute to a conversion project. I have a bunch of books too, and the companion book, but I forget which ones I have. -=Grim=-

    LotR RPG? Anyone getting this?

Yea, all this talk of LotR makes me wanna blow the dust off my MERP books, break out a calculator and start playing again? Too bad noone here lives in NY...lol -=grim=-

    [ot]Magnamund - Lone Wolf Series

When I first bought the D&D3e books, I looked over at my shelf and saw the Magnumund Campanion book or something. It describes alot of things about the world and has an AMAZING map of the lands... my D&D came came this close to being run in that setting. It was going to take place right after...

    LotR RPG? Anyone getting this?

Yea, I wasn't too happy with Danforth's artwork, but OH MAN Angus McBride's work totally captured the feel of Tolkien! I started buying some adventures and sourcebooks I didn't even want or use just because the cover was so damn cool! I hope the new one is just as good. -=grim=-

What do you consider the quintessential knight in shinning armor?

Well, alot of us on the left and extreme left also quote him. Hes just one of those people that everyone could agree with. As for my choices of the quintessential knight would be: Theo Bell of the World of Darkness, minus the whole blood-drinking thing. Gawyn Trakand and Galadedrid Damodred...

    LotR RPG? Anyone getting this?

Well, I ran MERP for years, and only because it was Middle Earth...the system was painful to play, even after 2e came out for it. I am a huge fan of the 3rd age, but a Silmarillion book would be a very welcome addition to that line-up ;) Though I love the d20 system, I believe that its...

Which "must buy" gaming item did you buy, but never use?

Heh, wanna sell em? I love that game. ;) The things Ive bought and don't use are the FRCS and the Greyhawk CS. The FRCS has some nice feats, but other than that I get better feats, PrCs and spells in the Kalamar Players Guide. The Greyhawk books were a waste of money to me: I would have been...

Cleric´s 2 skill points is pathetic.

Thats what I did in one of my games. I was playing the village priest turned "smiter of all things bad" after his village and 'herd' were razed by Undead. He was an Exp3/Clr1 (we started at 4th level). All of the expert skillpoints were theology, healing, diplomacy and sense motive. The cleric...

LOTR Movie Soundtrack wasnt that good...

::shrugs:: I didnt find it cheesey at all. As a matter of fact, that scene when the music kicks in as the Fellowship crests the foothills of Caradhras (Damn I cant spell anything Tolkien when I first get up) is one of my favorite movie-tied-in-with-score scenes to date. Plus the score is a...

Familiars and Darkvision-The Sage hath spoken-Answers Within

Thats an excellent point. Thats why a referee (DM/GM) is a mandatory part of the game. Someone has to do all the interpreting and what-not. -=grim=-

    D20 Modern - What do we know/want?

Im expecting it to have rules for running ANY genre with modern rules, from horror to modern-fantasy. Its probably not going to be, but oh well. If they did that, there'd be little reason to buy Spycraft or CoC ;) -=grim=-

    The Genius of D&D

I can name a few that are tied into their settings, but NONE are useless w/o the setting, even WhiteWolf, where the setting is everything! :D Ive used WW's ST system of Vampire for a Max Payne game, and Ive used Middle Earth RolePlaying for basic D&Desque gaming. Heck, even the setting heavy...

    LotR RPG? Anyone getting this?

http://decipher.com/lordoftherings/rpg/lotrrpgreleaseschedule.html At that link above I saw that the LotR RPG is finally coming out. Granted, I personally will be buying it simply because I am a huge Tolkien fan (I will not abandon d20. Its too awesome and Ive pumped TOO much cash into it). But...

    Talislanta to D20 conversion?

::shudders at the mention of the Rajan Empire:: Bad things happened to 3 of my favorite characters there. One was a Thrall Warrior, one was a Jakka Manhunter, and the other was a Kharakhan Giant. Bad, terrible, mean things happened to them there. Evil. ::shudders and falls silent in his...

    Kalamar Players handbook Overview!

Ahhhhh, the Kalamar Players Guide. Yea, its $33 after taxes, but GODDAMN its totally worth it. ::cuts and pastes his rant from the new K&C webforum:: Well, I just bought mine 6 hours ago (I sold several Vampire Clanbooks to afford it: theres some sacrafice!), and I am really impressed with it...

    Reference sheets & Spell cards

The Kalamar Players Guide has ones in the back, mostly used for spell planning, but these sheets have the spells statistical adata and a brief description, so it works fine. The spells are not just KPG and PHB either it seems.Other sources can be found there as well. -=grim=-

    Help please! Knighthood ceremonies/certificates...

The tapping of a sword on a persons shoulders was mostly for battlefield knightings. At court, a would-be knight instead placed his hands on two relics while taking the oath. To see this actually in effect, take a look at the Bayoux Tapestry. Theres a nice scene of this relic-thing going on...
