Pricing aside, this is a pretty nifty tool for playing around with the Basic D&D rules. Design-wise it seems well laid out and is running snappy. Interest is definitely piqued, I'll be interested in seeing how it runs on my IPad when I get home.

I'm one of the few people who really liked 3rd edition. But it may be because it was my first exposure to Warhammer Fantasy. Now I'm off to my Amazon wishlist to see if I want to pick up anything before 3e goes from 'dead' to 'collectible'.

One of the other things I liked about Marvel Super Heroes was the maps. They were laid out in zones rather than on a grid, which made for easier tactical movement. The maps and all the stand up paper minis made combat pretty easy and fun, at a time when tactical mini combat wasn't that common.

I think the point of the mix on the fly rule, as it was also on the pathfinder alchemist, is so no one else could use them.

So excited for this. B2 is one of my favorites. As much as I like Sunless Citadel, I think I'd replace it with Keep as the first module in the Yawning portal campaign.

I'll take whatever Greyhawk bone they throw me, it's more than I got in 4th edition.
