The Tinkerer: A New 5E Class

The construction ability of the tinker says they can make 'mundane objects'. Does that just mean the adventuring gear in the equipment section? Can they construct tools? Vehicles?

The Tinkerer: A New 5E Class

I hope the advanced article has way, way more things to do with the affect engines, especially at low levels. At first level the tinkerer can buy things at full price in the field, and...make a torch? Gain advantage when using a hammer?

    Dragon Reflections #3: Controversy Strikes!

I assume that was a typo and it meant 1d8 and 1d6 for strength for women?

Talking About An Apocalypse: Looking At Dungeon World

Bought the bundle yesterday, been all over it, now I'm running a game for newbies on Friday!

    Meet the Real James Halliday

To me Halliday seemed to be a Steve Wozniak analogue, in contrast to his partner's Jobs-like business acumen. I'm sure it was an blend of a lot of different people. While Garriott is definitely known for self promotion and this article is a bit of a stretch, don't sell him too short. He was a...

    Looking At Dungeon Tiles Reincarnated

I've tried everything under the sun, I think I liked the flip mats the best. I also like the poster map series they had in 3e, but those weren't very flexible of course. These tile sets were very nice, but I found I didn't use them that much. All the little irregular shaped bits made it hard...

News Digest: Patreon Breaks Then Fixes Patreon, D&D a Bestseller, New Fantasy Flight Game, and more!

So I bumped my max articles for EN5ider from 5 down to 4 due to the fees. I can bump them back up now? I don't see any information on the Patreon site.

D&D Beyond Launches -- Electronic Tools For D&D Are Here!

Yeah I'm trying to be sensible about spending a bunch of money on this as I don't even have an active group. I'll try playing with the kids again this weekend and see how it goes.

D&D Beyond Launches -- Electronic Tools For D&D Are Here!

I was impressed enough by the character builder and basic rules compendium to buy something to see what the content looks like. I bought Lost Mine Of Phandelver since I never got the starter set. It's...it's pretty cool. The links to all the monster stats and basic rules make it pretty...

D&D Beyond Launches -- Electronic Tools For D&D Are Here!

Pricing aside, this is a pretty nifty tool for playing around with the Basic D&D rules. Design-wise it seems well laid out and is running snappy. Interest is definitely piqued, I'll be interested in seeing how it runs on my IPad when I get home.

Games Workshop And Cubicle 7 Announce Warhammer Fantasy Role-Play 4th Edition

I'm one of the few people who really liked 3rd edition. But it may be because it was my first exposure to Warhammer Fantasy. Now I'm off to my Amazon wishlist to see if I want to pick up anything before 3e goes from 'dead' to 'collectible'.

TSR's Marvel Super-Heroes RPG: The Original Awesome Mix

One of the other things I liked about Marvel Super Heroes was the maps. They were laid out in zones rather than on a grid, which made for easier tactical movement. The maps and all the stand up paper minis made combat pretty easy and fun, at a time when tactical mini combat wasn't that common.

Preview The ALCHEMIST Class From A TOUCH OF CLASS For 5E

I think the point of the mix on the fly rule, as it was also on the pathfinder alchemist, is so no one else could use them.

[UPDATED] WotC & Goodman Games Partner To Reprint Classic Modules for 5E

So excited for this. B2 is one of my favorites. As much as I like Sunless Citadel, I think I'd replace it with Keep as the first module in the Yawning portal campaign.

I'll take whatever Greyhawk bone they throw me, it's more than I got in 4th edition.
