Well, Crothian (in the other PDF thread) has said the new PDFs are copy/paste enabled. If so, then the PDF of the Monster Manual is probably worth more than the physical book--just paste all monsters for each encounter into a document & you're good to go (no page flipping!).

If a True Name *is* the creature in some sense (or a true essence of the creature, etc.) then I'd think it would help all power sources, even Martial--after all, if you are very familiar with a how a creature fights, you can anticipate its dodges, read its feints, and so on. And the True Name...

If the alignments are actually Lawful Good, Good, Unaligned, Evil, Chaotic Evil then you only need 3 colors (white, gray, black) and two 'modifiers': say a Blue square on the white alignment for LG, and a Red squiggly circle (or chaos multi-arrow) on the Black alignment for CE.
