    MUST SEE! D&D related

Folks shouldn't paint all devout christians as biggoted jerks like the folks that chick writes to. Back in highschool a shoolmate of mine was a seriously devout chrisitan who used to go to bible meetings and church retreats frequently, one time he came back with a whole handful of booklets...

Players: How much control do you want in a campaign?

If i were playing a cleric I'd choose from the list provided by the DM but while playing I'd be likely fill in the details arround what the DM provided. The DM has free reign to decide what classes and races to allow into the game. I like a flexible DM but I can respect boundaries the DM has...

Do you keep track of normal ammunition?

I keep track of the ammo. Even if the players figure out a method to carry 1000 arrows they are going to have to keep track of those 1000 arrows. I also keep track of the capacity and locations of containers and items. I don't let players treat four quivers like they are one giant quiver.

Do your characters know what level they are?

Characters should only have a rough guesstimate of relative capabilities. When DMing I just don't answer level based questions. "what level does he seem to be?" gets no reply from me and sometimes on of the other players will speak up in a character voice "What the heck are you talking about?"

How much time do you spend on RPGs?

Planning, drawing, reading game books posting and playing- 15 to 20 hours a week(sometimes more)...for 25 years that'd be about 23,000 hours.

    More Castles & Crusades details

I'm looking forward to C&C. It is unlikely to replace my regular weekly D&D game but it may indeed become the rules I use when playign with my fairly young son if it proves to be easy enough to read he's getting the C&C players book foir his birthday this year. He's already managing with a...

To those who surf the Dragonsfoot forums...

(this is my first enworld post) Dragonsfoot has changed more then once. The recent big changes followed a spat of ridiculous fighting by a body of folks that either argued too much (that certainly included me) or were trying to keep Dragonsfoot from being a place where folks that enjoyed the...
