    Forbes Article about leaked PDFS

It was either an intentional slip-up to increase sales despite offering it for more than amazon (as the sales rank on buy.com has jumped an insane amount since the news has spread that they shipped some early) or a happy accident for them. Well, maybe not so happy since they broke the street...

    So, wizards fight like fighters?

Or the monster has an option that lets it avoid the fighter. But having the skirmisher scoot right past the fighter and park itself next to the warlock is part of the fun. :)

    Sold through already

Well, it means initial demand is good. Things can still blow up. Things can ALWAYS still blow up in the business world. Fads are dangerous because someone always gets caught holding the bag. Or unsold books in some cases. Edit: Not implying I think 4th edition is a fad. Just that it's...

    D&D 4E Ordering 4ed - shipping question

That's just how super saver works. They give those orders a lower priority, so they give it generous lead time over shipping when you actually pay for it. Doesn't mean that they will refuse to ship it if they have the time, just means they reserve the right to put it off longer.

    Lack of Aquatic Creatures

I have the feeling that was the exact thought process that first gave us sea elves.

D&D 4E HP: How do you determine HP in 4th edition?

There's a bit of confusion here. Healing Surges are a daily resource. You cannot spend them directly any more than you can spend HP. A fighter has a base of... 9 I think? A 8 con fighter would have 8 healing surges at the start of each day. Second Wind is a once an encounter power that ALL...

    4E Art Direction--Yay or Nay

Weird, everything I've seen on the website and in previews has been above what I remember from 3rd in terms of quality. Some weaker pieces, sure, but the general level seems to be higher. Might just be me though. And they might be burning all their quality stuff on previews as well. :)

    Human Wizard (Level 1, 11, and 21)

So Demigods just stop caring about at-wills? Is that the level 30 power?

    What's broken/overpowered? What's weak?

What's the Deadly Trickster's "When you die" power?

What's Divine Miracle's action type? Minor or free?

    An Example Character, Levels 1-30

I'd probably let it go with 5 minutes of prayer to reshape/reform and bless the thing. Coincidentally the amount of time it takes to ID something :D Maybe it would take more effort if I felt like making an adventure out of it.

    An Example Character, Levels 1-30

The little bit of fluff discription just jarred a thought loose in my head. Are clerics expected to make their +1-6 holy symbols or do they just happen to find these more powerful symbols of their specific faith as they adventure? I suppose it's no stranger than finding unusual weapons for the...

    Succubus and her Kiss ability?

Right. Prepping a shield. It does work a lot better that way.

    Succubus and her Kiss ability?

Heh, it's in the succubus's best interest to kiss the person with that goes right before her in the initiative order. Which then creates some interesting initiative shuffle as both the succubus and the victim want the other one to go first. Or the victim can also just try and hide behind the...

    Succubus and her Kiss ability?

But then the aforementioned running away occurs when the dominate runs out at the end of the turn.

Does dominate not count as an attack?

    Minor Rules Questions/Thoughts

Ah, agreed. Only thing that occurs to me is you do have to actually get to -bloodied or fail three death saving throws for the "When you die" effects to kick in. Healing as an interrupt wouldn't have you fall over in the first place. That might make the "feel" of the on death effects a bit...

    Minor Rules Questions/Thoughts

Well, epic characters do get some rather nifty "stand the heck back up, you're not done fighting" powers :) I'd say getting back up at 50% HP after dying counts as being hard to kill.
