    What about Parents?

Well my parents are thrilled if I decide to talk to them at all so they tend to not give opinions about what I do for hobbies. My dad tries to show genuine interest in the lives of my friends who are all 30+ but it's through an Old Style induced haze. This is only an issue when he sees them once...

You can't play that, you don't RP well enough

Because in the end, that's what he really likes to play. He may dress it differently everytime you guys start a new campaign but for some people they don't want to expand their horizons and really, why should they? I won't say that I've never told a player what they are good or bad at because...

When Bob wants to play a female PC

Have you ever played with a guy in the army who played a fighter like a steotypical army infantry goon? Have you ever played with a guy who never had a girlfriend but all of a sudden started dating a female player in your game and then huis characters all became the stereotypical red hot...

When Bob wants to play a female PC

On the contrary. Some of us have very good players most of the time who sometimes give us a peek behind the psycological curtain. We'd really just rather not go "there". Edit: And As far as I'm concerned, Lasher is still more than funny enough for me. Dread October

When Bob wants to play a female PC

OK, I think I get where the origianal poster is coming from. If the player in question could play a female character without making people uneasy then maybe he'd have no problem with it. I have to tell you that it's next to impossible to judge what a "well played" female is like because many of...

Goggles of True Strike: To unbalancing?

I actually think it'sx not that big a deal. A player spends a standard action to get a +20 bonus in another round. Then all he's done is pretyty much made sure he's hit something. It does sound like an Archer option to me and not something a Ranger in melee would bother with. How often can...

To railroad or not to railroad?

Then give them action but don't start it at the mine or whatever. Have them leave the Archduke, and then the following could happen: 1. They have to seek lodging for the night because the mine is far away. 2. That night one of them recieves a message that it'd be a good idea to skip the...

    Worlds Largest City - Mistake?

I think it'll be fine. AEG does decent stuff. Sure some things will slip through the cracks but in the end, we'll drop some nasty amount of cash on it and then punish our friends with it. I intend to make a group of high school kids suffer. Dread

    No Boys Allowed!

And if that's not cause for someone to lie on the couch and talk to someone I don't know what it. We have a guy in our group who happens to be a bald, goatee wearing, Irish cop and when he plays chix, no matter what, they are bald, goatee wearing, Irish cops. But in skirts. I want to say that...

    No Cleric in my Group

I don't reaslly care if a party lacks a Mage, Cleric or Rogue. The party would have to adapt. I think a non-cleric campaign would work fine if Wizards were allowed some sort of necromantic healing. Persoanally I'd love an all cleric game. Dread
