    Standing and fighting

We've had that come up in game before. As I recall I think the comment at the table was : "Plan B is *always* two times as much gunpowder as Plan A" - and we just lobbed fireballs over the wall until there weren't anymore sounds. Admittedly, my group is very quick on tactical planning and best...

    Standing and fighting

Heh... wow. My group woulda looked at each other - walked behind the gates. Closed them. And whipped out the bows and long range fireballs ... We don't like leaving anythign behind us that'll get in our way when we retreat. That's what comes from having a loth run your game.

I dunno about it deriving from genie, btu the way I say it: Geh-NA-zee

What is the most common alignment for your characters?

Most of them start as nuetral and then I let the story and their goals and behavior dictate their alignment from there. Usually I determine where they're going by discussing the motivation/actions with the GM once we're well enough underway to pick the correct one. That way I can't be said to be...

Proper Pronunciation of all D&D words!

*cough* Planescape Lingo Note the correct prounounciation of the name of our fair city, fines for misprounounciation are 30gp per incident as proven before the Sigil Advisory Council. ;)

    Random Character Generator

Ok, a project I'm working on is going to need a lot of NPC stat blocks created for it. Normally I'm a character generation addict and happy to type a character up, but this is a lot of them. I'd really like to know if there's a program out there where I can just input the race, class levels...

    D&D Technology

Yet the time between Custer's Last Stand and the Man on the Moon was only 100 years. ;) Technological advancements seem to go in spurts, right now it seems we're on an exponential advancement.

Operating in 10 to 70 AD, so as good as Roman given the expanse of the empire at the time. But nope, I missed that episode. I think I'll go see if I can hunt it down though. :)

    D&D Technology

The Romans had piped water, and were known to have vending machines. The way I figure it in those fantasy worlds, the tech level is explained by not having as strong a Dark Ages (it's called that for a reason) as Europe did. Essentially the society became more fuedalistic but the tech didn't in...

Cool things you remember from some setting of choice

*chuckle* If only I had the time. ;) But if in the future I do, I'll keep that in mind - so long as I can convert you to a Planescape game in return.

Hooks for getting mixed alignment parties to work together

There's of course the "Same person you hate so you gang up to go kill him." technique as well. There's a certain plot involving a loth from a past game that comes to mind for that. The big trick is to make sure the *players* understand that you expect them to keep the conflict in game only, and...
