    Adamantine Questions

On the other hand... that much metal on the open market might drive the price of adamantine down.

    A Riddle: Feedback Wanted

I didn't get the riddle, but once I saw the answer, I remembered that "cleave" was used in that context in an episode of firefly... While I don't know how much help the riddle itself might be, there are only so many things you can do with a broken stone, one of them has got to be "Lets try...

    Why can only Ravens talk?

My logic was similar, though I reasoned if ravens got the same skill bonus, and could talk, why not let everyone talk. I'm a big fan of the flavor of talking familiars. (and I'm sure I've heard of more than one talking toad or owl in movies...probably disney movies, but still... ;))

    Why can only Ravens talk?

According to d20srd.org, they give a skill bonus like most other familiars. I had forgotten about the familiars in the DMG though, I'll have to give them another look-through.

    Why can only Ravens talk?

I've started rereading the His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman, and I keep coming back to "man dæmons are cool!" (Dæmons are essentially familiars, with the exception that everyone has one, and all of them can talk.) Which brings me back to Ravens, the only talking familiars. Is...

    Brainstorming 'roleplaying' encounters in Hell

In theory the Forgotten Realms version of Hell, but since it's been a year, and all the PCs get to remake their characters, I'm free to cobble together whatever depiction of hell that looks like it will work the best.

    Brainstorming 'roleplaying' encounters in Hell

So every Christmas, we gather up my old high school gaming group together in one place, and we have a great "mini" campaign for old times sake. Last year's game ended with the PCs chasing a devil named the "Duke of Rams" and his two headed fiendish tyrannosaurus pet back into hell and, in a...

    Monsters new to 3E?

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that Sean K Reynolds designed the Krenshar for 3E to fill the low level fear monster gap.

    Greater Inspiration

I think it's reasonable that the other PCs could be listening as they are doing something else...

Introducing the PCs to their headquarters.

That is gold sir, pure gold! The organization they are a part of is pretty big; I'm thinking maybe they get stuck behind a quarintine or something? And if they are quarintined, then I only have to detail a smaller portion of the whole base, and can introduce it a portion at a time. Maybe...

Introducing the PCs to their headquarters.

So my new d20 modern game has started. The United Nations Elite Security force has started training a new multidiciplinary team (the PCs) to deal with anomolies found by the U.N. Minstry of Information. They have completed their first assignment, and now it feels like they should get to know...

Tell me your great campaign ideas!

So though a series of unfortunate events, I'm thinking about taking a break from my D&D game, and running a D20 Modern game. Unfortunately, I don't really know what kind I want to run. Which is my biggest problem with the system...one can run anything with it, and so I have so many half...

thoughts on my BITTEN BY VAMPIRE campaign

What about using this Savage Progressions thing from WOTC. You could give them one level of it every time they went up a level. Then they would have some new and funky powers to discover every level as they slowly turned into the undead.

How would you roleplay a dwarf cleric of the Traveller

I've decided to play a CN Dwarven Cleric who follows the Traveller in our new Eberron game. The game starts at 1st level. I've decided to name my dwarf Baruder Mroranon. Here is the little bit of character history I've come up with so far: and here is the little bit the DM has told us...

    Psions and Psychic Warriors

I'm a big fan of the cool things one can do with psionic feats (ie. running on the wall crazy jumping matrix type stuff!) On the other hand, being able to bill yourself as Selkhad the Seer, or Nevitash the Nomad sets a nice base to start roleplaying from. (not to mention all the cool powers!)

    Psions and Psychic Warriors

So my group is just about to start a new Eberron game, and I am trying to decide what to play. My current thoughts are floating around a Kalashtar Psion or Psychic Warrior, but I thought I'd put the feelers out and see what the general opinions were about these classes. Have you found them fun...

    The Otherworld

Muxin: You detect no hazards around the man's body. You do find several clues as to the probable cause of death. His body temperature is warmer than you would expect considering his time of death. His cheeks are hollow and his eyes are sunken. His tongue is swolen. His lips are cracked and...

    The Otherworld

Sorry for the hold up guys. I was sort of waiting for Ferrix to post, and then life got busy and I just kept waiting. I'm thinking this scene is pretty close to over. After Thoumaster learns what he can from the body it's just a lot of statments and red tape and so on; We could probably...
