I'll just repeat Dandu. :) Just like there are problematic spells, feats, etc, there are problematic psionic powers. As long as you accept that no system is perfect and you may have to tweak to fit your playstyle, the 3.5 psionics ruleset is pretty great. :)

I try to avoid plugging my own company's products, but if all you're looking for is the ability to have a mind blade in another class, we released Mind Unveiled: Mind Blade Feats a while back that does exactly that. It's for 3.5.
