    Dragonstar: Any opinions?

I had been waiting for a DnD in Space setting for some time when I heard about the arrival of Dragonstar. For me the setting is very evocative - it has just that right "feel" to me. The basic setting ideas are nice IMO, grim and grand at the same time. Spellware is one of the coolest concepts...

Deleted Scenes from TTT (some info on RotK)

Re: Re: Deleted Scenes from TTT (some info on RotK) Thanks for sharing them. I think the scene with Gandalf and Aragorn takes place in Edoras the night before the departure towards Helm's Deep... -Zarrock

Lord of the Rings: Two Towers - Best Quotes

I loved Theoden's "little speech" while donning his armour. Otherwise if they put back Faramir's monologue (mentioned in my thread above) that'll be my favourite - especially if David Wenham can deliver as well as his obvious acting talents suggested... -Zarrock

Deleted Scenes from TTT (some info on RotK)

This is copied from www.theonering.net - best site for info on LotR movies around. It's supposed to be from a fairly reliable source and I really hope most of these scenes make it into the Extended DVD for the TTT and/or the RotK as stated. Especially Faramir's comment: 'I wonder what his name...

    Alcohol and D&D

I try to avoid drinking during RPG sessions since most other social events in this country feature massive drinking already (much to my personal liking I may well add - but I can be very drunk and still retain my dignity which really helps. Hangovers are not as bad as they used to be either -...

[OT, grammar and punctuation] Use of commas in US and British style?

According to Michael Swan's "Practical English Usage" the rules are not set in stone. It only notes that "In British English, a comma is not usually used with and between and the last two items unless these are long". And example of a sentence where the two last items are long (and where the...

    Races of Faerun... ummm.. yawn?

Re: Re: HEY RICH BAKER! I see the point. Personally I like Saurials but if someone really needs them Sean K. Reynolds wrote a great article for Dragon 292 that covers all you'll need to know about Saurials - SKR handled the Saurial speech issue elegantly and it shouldn't be any trouble at all...

    Races of Faerun... ummm.. yawn?

Looks really good - a definite purchase. I was especially happy to see the Arctic Dwarf and Urdunnir listed. I think this book will hold some great material and be a good resource for players who want more info on their race (especially the human subraces should be interesting). -Zarrock

    [OT] Favorite Band?

Well I listen regularly to folk and folk rock bands such as The Oyster Band, Runrig and Wolfe Tones or old classics such as Mark Knopfler and John Fogerty. At parties I enjoy System of a Down or my old Metallica records :D -Zarrock

    Fiendwurm: Coolest Monster EVER?

The original Scandinavian term was: lindorm... (orm being the Nordic term for "worm" ;)). The only lindorm myths I know of is Fafnir (a mutated huma) and the Midgard Serpent. -Zarrock

[ELH] Is the art in this book utter crap?

Some of the best art I've seen in DnD at all were the Nightshade in MM, the Shades in the FR books and the Githyanki and Githzerai in PsiHandbook... Generally, I'm a great fan.. -Zarrock

[OT] Why are so many Americans "overweight"

There's nothing wrong with 24,1 BMI so the system isn't that flawed (it doesn't takes natural muscle and bones size into account though). My BMI is 22,4 - but even with 25 I'd still be healthy (if I gained it all in fat I pro0ably would be but that's next to impossible for most average persons)...

    Monster Manual II Art Gallery!
