Wayne "WAR" Reynolds now has an official site! Wicked Cool!

Man, he puts such excitement in his pieces! I've got to harvest this for in-game artwork in D&D games! I used the three dudes on the right in this picture: http://www.waynereynolds.com/Paizo%20Gallery%201A/21.jpg as inspiration for three villains who kept popping up in my campaign over and over...

    Monks vs *big beasties*

Dude... have you not read comic books? Superheroes battle Giant Dinosaurs and Tremendous Starfish From Space all the time... with their bare hands, bows and arrows, or batarangs!

"Lost" Plans For Ambitious Run *Possible Spoiler*

If they want the show to run successfully for 6-8 years, they'll definitely have to shake up the formula every season. While this whole "slowly revealing secrets of the island while revealing pasts of the characters" shtick is working terrifically for the first season, it will inevitably get...

    Robot Chicken on Adult Swim

Robot Chicken is one of those shows that I really didn't expect to be funny. But I laughed the entire way through. The claymation during the Voltron breakdance sequence was absolutely amazing!

[Arcana Unearthed] Runethanes and Touch Runes

I would say no. After all, if you think about it, you're expecting the rune to damage a target even if it hits his armor, or if he steps on it while wearing a boot. So having a piece of cloth would not keep it from activating.

How do you get your 1st level PCs together?

In this last campaign, each character was somehow related to a member of the Spire Council (the government in my campaign). They were invited as guests to a dinner. Then the host, one of the councilmembers, murdered the rest of the Council, and in their escape the characters fell into a dungeon...

    d20 Modern with D&D classes

I actually did this once in a one-shot Pulp Action (think Venture Bros) game. It was a lot of fun. The characters were sixth level, and I gave them Armor Class bonuses based on the d20 Modern Classes. Then again, this was a very, very, very rules-lite, fast-moving action game, so I'm not sure...

[MnM] Just launched my new superhero mini-campaign

Sounds like a blast, Piratecat! I still have yet to find a group who is willing to play as Superheroes (heroes, mind you, not villains or Punisher-esque anti-heroes), but one of these days I plan on running a full-on, cheesey, fun as heck Mutanst & Masterminds campaign! So what heroes did your...

    Rules/Crunch of Eyros

What do you think of something like this: Red Clothing: Clothes of red cloth cost double in Eyros. A character wearing predominantly red clothing gains a +1 bonus to diplomacy, intimidate, and gather information checks when in cities aligned with the Dominion of Eyros. Copper Stain: Copper...

    Dreams

Holy Moly those Mushroom Cloud dreams are quite freaky. On the dreams in which you fall in love- yeah, I have those. I used to have a dream last year in my senior year of high school that I was in love with a female friend of mine. In the dreams, we'd snuggle, or hold hands, or she'd rescue me...

    Downtime and Training

So I was thinking of ways to establish training during "downtime" in my campaign. This is what I've got for now. Tell me what you think, and what you do with downtime in your campaigns! Hey there dudes. I'm introducing a new rule into the game, which is the concept of downtime: Downtime...

Creative Exercise: The Sovereign Dominion of Eyros

The moon over Eyros is marked with what looks like vast, green forests. Observation of the moon has shown that the forests migrate across the surface at a startling rate- often moving miles in only a month's time! Who knows what strange magics could possess this lunar vegetation?
