    Torchwood Series/Season 4 a go!

Excellent - looks like it's a BBC/Starz partnership, so hopefully should still air on BBC as before :)

    [TV] Doctor Who

Really enjoyed that one. Lots of nice touches, as people have pointed out, especially Van Gogh's ability to see Amy's pain, and the Doctor accidentally referring to Rory.

    [TV] Doctor Who

Yes, but the off-shift was one man, and the drill kept operating during that shift. I just expected the deepest drill in the world to require more than one person to operate it.

    [TV] Doctor Who

The thing I found jarring with this episode was that the deepest mining drill in the world seemed to be being operated by one family and a scientist in Wales.

    [TV] Doctor Who

Same here - it suddenly makes a lot of threats non-threatening.

    Tell me about Savage Worlds

I've run 2 sessions of EOK when we're in between campaigns (usually when one person finishes, and the next guy hasn't quite got his stuff ready). It's very easy to pick up and run with minimal prep, and everyone enjoyed the game.

    What Are You Listening To?

Since I started taking public transport to work, I've been listening to Order 66 podcast. Great stuff for SWSE. I've got a long way to catch up - last week I hit the episode recorded the week that Gary Gygax died :(

    What Are You Listening To?

Good thinking - thanks. I'll pop in to the dealership when I'm over that side of town at the weekend. :) Actually, first of all I'll post on a car forum and see if I get any suggestions. Then Plan B will be the dealership. I think it's feeling lonely because I just moved offices and get...

    What Are You Listening To?

My car says that the current CD is unreadable, but won't give it back to me when I press eject - stupid tray-less car CD players :(

Life on Mars / Ashes to Ashes - finale

Series 2 & 3 of Ashes to Ashes were a big improvement on Series 1. If you enjoyed Life on Mars, I'd recommend you watch them. I agree - the finale was one of the best I've ever seen.

From the ashes will rise a new Hivemind.

Well, Circvs Maximvs has a cooking forum, and the ladies there produced a recipe book as a fund-raiser. ENW has an order of magnitude more members...

Have you ever been to Walt Disney World?

No - it's never appealed to me. I got free tickets for Universal studios when I was in Florida, and went to Busch Gardens, too, but wasn't that impressed with either. I don't have kids, which I can appreciate would make a huge difference. I'd rather visit real castles and other cultures...

    Merlin (TV Series)

A British series is as long as it is - 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, whatever. I still don't understand your logic of why that would mean that more time would be spent in post-production. If you have a budget of $6m and 3 weeks to film a 6 episode British series, why would the CGI be better than in a US...

    Merlin (TV Series)

Why would you think that the schedule is more leisurely? Surely a 10 episode UK series takes as long to make as 10 episodes of a longer US season.
