If you're printing things out double-sided and on a b/w laser printer, it's not so bad. But considering the prices for PDF's do not take into account the printing and distribution costs that print books have tacked on to them, I'm fine with printing things out from the fiscal aspect. suzi

If it's a short PDF (less than 50 or 60 pages including the TOC, title pages, and other acutrements), I usually read off the screen and print the highlights, templates, classes, etc. that I'll be using. If it's a big book, I look over it on screen and see if I would be interested in printing it...
