    Pounce with crafted weapons

A full attack is a full attack. It's not inconcievable that creature wielding manufactured weapons would have this ability, so if the designers had meant for it to only apply to natural weaponry, they would have specified it to work that way, and neither the MM nor the template give any...

    Dervish Dance and Karmic Strike

If a dervish is hit while dancing does, she still have to move 5' between her AoO granted by Karmic Strike and her next attack?

Help me pick my feat progression. Weird feats please!

If you're gonna grab this one, I recommend Combat Reflexes as well. Deft Oportunist from the Miniature's HB, is a good one, too.

what's a good stat spread for a 1st lvl ranger multi-classing to mage

This is a good one, but I think too much importance is being put into Int. If you're just going to take wizard levels for the sake of meeting prerequisites, knock the int down to 13 and boost dex to 18. You're only going to be able to cast 1st level spells.

I should've checked the WotC site before posting. http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/frx/20030528a

    Understanding Shifting...

Under 3.5: If by "hitpoints" you mean hit dice, maybe. According to the greater wild shape description, you're limited by your total Hit Dice, whereas a druid is limited by its druid levels only. So that level in monk counts making the limit 7. However, despite what it says, I'd rule that...

New Feat (and possible Tumble variant)

If you're going to make the dervish dance a feat, make it an epic feat with Improved Whirlwind Attack as a prerequisite.

Trying to hit my friend with Rays

If he's trying to get hit, treat his AC as if his dex was 1.

    Specialized Magic Feat

Well, the problem is that all the obvious methods of improving spellcasting by school/subschool/descriptor have already been done. Also, not all descriptors have an (obvious) opposing discriptor, such as sonic, death, fear, etc, and some seem to have more than one (e.g. fire would oppose both...

    Grappling & Displacement

Which also raises the question is the kensai's withstand ability subject to the 1/20 rule since it takes the place of a save, or part of the purpose of the Withstand ability that 1/20 doesn't apply?

    Specialized Magic Feat

Given the option, I'd rather have Spell Focus (fire, water, earth, air, law, sonic, acid, good, chaos, evil, etc...).

    "Touch of idiocy" twice?

Ahh, that does make more sense. I'll have to remember combo next time I game.

    Grappling & Displacement

It's not an attack roll, "A grapple check is like a melee attack roll." (p156 PHB, first column, first paragraph) Though you could infer that since it's like an attack roll it's subject to the usual limitations. However, I'd imagine grappling an invisible/blured/displaced opponent puts you in...

    damage reduction for armor?

Well, if you did that with armor, I'd recommend you do it with natural armor, too.

    0 damage possible? (i.e. 1d4-2)

Death by house cat. Didn't that happen in "Catch 22"?

    "Touch of idiocy" twice?

The spell doesn't allow a save, so unless the enemy uses a mental stat for AC (wis for monks, int for duelists and bladesingers), you not going to have a better chance to hit with the second any more than you did with the first.

    Saurials

Anyone know where I can find the d20 conversion saurials. And are there any d20 stats for Alias and Dragonbait? I'm a bit miffed that these lovable descendants of dinosaurs were left out of the FRCS and the Races of Faerûn, even though several new races were added.

    Elves vs. Vulcans

On a similar note, aside from the physical differences, I always thought Krynnish minotaurs were exactly like Klingons. And on a not so similar note, I was quite amused to find out that Weis and Hickman modeled Tanis Half-elven after Captain James T. Kirk.
