    Gaming Generation Gap

Would that be covered by the D20 Modern fantasy setting?

Pathfinder 1E Things you Think WoTC should follow from Paizo

Eh, how many of the various campaign settings have had other cataclysms? Greyhawk's was more in the distant past, same with Mystara, but Birthright was pretty close, and even Ravenloft had one. Dark Sun was the epitome of it. I think that the BBE is just one of those things they throw in...

Why doesn't WotC license older editions?

How good is the quality, especially compared to the 4E versions? What did they cost? The question of "How many copies did they sell" is one I doubt we'll ever get the figures to answer though.

Pathfinder 1E Things you Think WoTC should follow from Paizo

Heh, I get a rather different impression from the books. The rule sections are quite clear, and the flavor, such as it is, doesn't overpower to the point of it being all taste and no meat. Whereas the feeling I get from the Shadowrun books (And White Wolf ones) is that there's too much of an...

I never even tried to use those rules.

    Familiar with the mega-dungeon?

Well, that might be a bit of a different subject, as I'm not sure I ever thought of what Gary, Arneson, Greenwood, or anybody else was doing. Others may be the same, or different. However, it might be worth looking at some of the writings of the time, such as in the early issues of "The...

What is the Population of Waterdeep?

As I recall, the Waterdeep of old had a population in the hundred thousand plus range, going up to half a million or more at times, depending on the count, like with outlying territories. That said, I don't know what the 4e Realms Waterdeep is like. For all I know it's two.

D&D Online To Go Free This Summer

Speaking of DDO, I tried installing it, got that done, annoying pain though it was, and tried to run it, but it constantly crashed. Anybody got any ideas on how I might proceed to troubleshoot it? The Turbine site was unhelpful to say the least.

    Big Dark Sun hint

Shattered Lands, Wake of the Ravager, or possibly Crimson Sands if you got to play the MMO. Those SSI days were so nice.

    Familiar with the mega-dungeon?

I'm afraid I don't get where you're concerned about 50% of anything, I was just reducing the poll options to some simple terms. I can see how my words might have been a bit brief and how that might have confused you, but I don't see where truth is coming into it. And as for the super-dungeon...

    Familiar with the mega-dungeon?

Just trying to briefly parse the poll options. Anyway, I guess the giant sheet of graph paper would count then. Too bad I couldn't resist the lemon curry.

    Familiar with the mega-dungeon?

That's certainly the impression I got from the poll options, with 1e yes CD and 1e no CD, but the option for 2e or later was just that. If anything, I'd have called them dungeon campaigns though.

    Familiar with the mega-dungeon?

What about on Meadowlarks? Ran it, as I was trying to think back to the 1e days of yore and the nearest equivalent I can imagine. Though I may have played Rogue first....

    Familiar with the mega-dungeon?

Does the super-huge dungeon on a poster-board sized sheet of graph paper count? And yum, Lemon!

How do you explain overnight Healing in your game?

Dude, it's like the Simpsons or Family Guy. Things happen, then the next episode, it's miraculously fixed. If you must have an explanation, then a wizard did it.

Why doesn't WotC license older editions?

Perhaps, but I wanted to avoid that particular minefield. Anyway, certainly for a while they did offer some older material(and they still have things available for free!), but stopped using it as a business, for reasons they've made clear, even if there is still argumentation going on over...

Why doesn't WotC license older editions?

Well, there are problems with that, which have been mentioned above. Namely, that for older material, there's no electronic copy available so they'd have to pay the cost of making one.

Why doesn't WotC license older editions?

I still wonder how many people bought the special collector's PHB and how much profit that WOTC made on them.
