PF is an improvement in many ways than 3.5 (i hope they didnt invent 4th ed just to make everything balanced!) PF character have lots more options than 3.5. -are they balanced. Dunno? have played it a lot and still cant make a final judgement. -does it matter if its balanced? probably not...

discussions you tire off, and maybe dont like is all part of freedom of expression, and long may it reign i think the mods et al keep a pretty tight reign, too tight IMO, of the boards when PHB IX comes out and PF 5th ed there will still be debate and discussion and people saying one edition...

TBH its probably only the monk as ive liked the magic system from oD&D days, it means i dislike the 4e powers system too many combat rules in 3.5 and i dislike metamagic feats in 3.5, and there are too many, and minor/meech feats in 4e i like vancian, AC,hp, levels, xp and defined classes...

i really always liked the 'warmachine' rules in D&D companion books aside from that i think mostly handwaved mass battles in my rpg's

our group played it from the off for about 6 months and dont play it all now and mostly dont like it overall. but it did do some things that where liked, so well done for: taking the minion rules used in many other games and implementing it VERY well in D&D the idea of the skill challenge...
