I think this season is on a starvation budget, even compared to last one. Re-used sets, and poorly handled bird puppets. Aliens in gas masks and raincoats. Also a bit preachy, but Who was ever thus. Make-up was good.

Since all variations of this creature have a huge mouth, what about a 'swallow-whole' ability?

I intend to keep Magic Resistance as a racial feat. Perhaps the other Trait they don't pick at 1st level can become a racial feat they can pick later, too.

So if I were to replace Magic Resistance, should I replace it with both of these, or only one. If one, which one?

Alternate Yuan-Ti Pureblood traits. Looking at the Pureblood PC traits, I've come to the conclusion that everyone else has, that the trait "Resistant to Magical Effects" is way overpowered, even if it appears on all Yuan-Ti. I might consider it as a racial feat... But without it, the traits...

Counterspell: what if the caster takes 1d4 damage per level of the spell cast? I do agree that the current version of Find Familiar is rather glib. It would be better if it had a natural shape, and could shapeshift into the assorted forms, like an Imp does, but perhaps once per short rest...

I play mostly non-humans. Often because of the stats, but also: playing a human that isn't me is seriously hard. Playing a tortle allows me to be different, but largely by speaking v e r y slowly, and sinking to the bottom of any body of water.
