(OT) Everybody knows that the world is full of stupid people...

We're not always sharp, are we? A few years back, my mom showed me an e-mail joke she had received entitled "You know you're from Louisiana if...", in a similar vein to Jeff Foxworthy's famous "You might be a Redneck if..." routine. Anyway, the "Louisiana" joke included the following snippet...

How do I make a web site?

For more information, my parents are starting a farm, raising goats, rabbits, cows, and poultry. The main stock will be miniature horses, though. We want the site to mainly be a "storefront" of what stock we have available to sell. It would be constructed to showcase the animals we will have...

How do I make a web site?

My family is looking in to setting up a website for our soon-to-be business, and I would like to know how to go about setting it up. I know some (and can learn more) coding, so that's not the problem. What we're interested in is where we would go to register a domain name, and where we could...

EN World City Project: NPC Contest #2... Final Round Ingredients!!!

Thanks, man! I can say it was a deservedly close competition, I wasn't sure how this one would turn out. I used the old pen/paper routine to create the character, not Jamis Buck's Generator. *checks number of feats* Wizard 1: Scibe Scroll, Human Bonus Feat: Skill Focus (Knowledge [arcana])...

    Down with "3.5"! Viva "Revised"!

Look closely at the plaques near the bottom of the covers. The first line says "Core Rulebook I" or II or III, but does the second line say "v3.5"? Really obvious in the DMG, noticeable in the MM, barely visible in the PH. Does that mean they will officially be known as "v3.5", or is this...

    [3.5] A gathering of Feat

A few of the new feats, with some comments: Diehard --Prereq: Toughness. Extra hp? Or extended death's door (-10hp) limit? Eschew Materials --Woohoo! General! Magical Affinity Self-Sufficient --No ideas here... Two-Weapon Defense --Twin Sword Style from FRCS? (+2 armor bonus when...

    [POLL] Vile or not?

I'd like to see additional vile/mature products. Some people (read: me!) don't have a lot of time/creativity/devotion to elaborate on villians other than "Mwahahaha (take 47 damage)." Not only do the books give ideas for creating truly memorable and evil villians, but they give (hopefully)...

Re: Iron and clay Glad you like it! That line just really jumped out at me, and I had to include it in the character. For you and anyone else, steal away... Merak, really enjoyed your character(s), cool story to boot. In keeping with the above theme, consider the thing stolen for...

    Tracking Damage in Large Combats

I also recommend the Firey Dragon Counters. Great resource, they really help out in combat, especially since I don't have a lot of minis. In a pinch, the counters from a cardboard Bingo game will do, or even 1" squares of paper with "Orc #47" written on it. In any case, an ordered system of...

Are gamers too sharp for movies?

Most times, movie plots are fairly evident to me. This could be that a lot of times, the stories are just retellings of old clichés. The evil guy has a tendency to turn good at the end of the movie. The guy always gets the girl. The world never ends in cataclysm. Some movies are exceptions...

    Smallville - Question about Luther blindness -- ? *** SPOILER ***

But, what if that is just another of his many plot-twists? He says he has been able to see for a few weeks, but what if he was never blind to start with? I wouldn't put it past his devious mind to do that.

Quick question on NPC ability scores: Should they be rolled (3d6, 4d6?), standard array (15 14 13 12 10 8), or point buy (and how many)? Or maybe arbitrarily chosen?

[SCOOP] New 3.5 Monster Manual Cover

I actually gasped aloud in delight at seeing that cover! It looks amazing. Seeing all three books together, you can really see how beautiful a set it is; it meshes together so nicely. I'd even go so far as to say that, of all WotC 3(.5)e books, the new MM has the best-looking cover.
