Zombies and Crooks (DM:Mal Malenkirk Judge: Covaithe )

I'm holding Andrec's turn until after Jarel-Karn moves. I am paying attention; just not ready to act yet.

Jarel-Karn's bloodied value is 18hp. The monster can attack twice, giving it a maximum per-round (barring AP) damage of 20.

Good point. Thanks for catching that. I'll update Andrec's status block to reflect that. If you don't mind, I'll shift that IW to Jarel-Karn, rather than remove it.

Zombies and Crooks (DM:Mal Malenkirk Judge: Covaithe )

Sensing the shift in the battle as Matlal attacks the fiend from behind, Andrec makes a strategic attack, taking advantage of the ebast's distraction. Unfortunately, the alien nature of the strange monster provides it some unnatural awareness, as it moves sinuously away from all attacks. In a...

I have my daily left, I'm waiting to get into position. I need somebody ready with a base attack.

Oh, I agree, Matial's is decent; I just expected that the strikers would have higher melee basic damage potential, primarily because most of my 4E experience s theoretical. I'm in a few games, but haven't gotten to try out much, and I suppose I just build differently for strikers. regarding...

Move action: Shift to M7.<br>Standard action: Opening Shove (vs Reflex 18 (1d20+7=8)) Fail. The best melee basics in the party were Andrec and Tor... All I need is a melee character; my only other option is Montroya's +2/1d8.

Zombies and Crooks (DM:Mal Malenkirk Judge: Covaithe )

Andrec's next move requires a decent melee basic attack adjacent to his target. So I'm waiting until Jarel-Karn or someone else reaches melee range before acting. I'm assuming this creature is custom-made (due to the Cthulhu image). If it's not, where is it from? If it is, may I see the...

Zombies and Crooks (DM:Mal Malenkirk Judge: Covaithe )

As the Reaper falls to the blades of Jarel-Karn, Montroya moves forward. "Beware inspiring an ally grabbed by the abberant creature! It may absorb the inspiration itself!" Andrec's head whips around in surprise, his gaze focusing on Montroya "It may WHAT??" Raising his shield, Andrec prepares...

I wish you would stop that. I'm here, but haven't posted yet. I realise you are trying to keep the action moving, but I would really rather play my own character.

    Proposal: Divine Power

The Hero of the Faith question seems to have taken over this thread, so I've forked this thread HERE: http://www.enworld.org/forum/living-4th-edition/260690-hero-faith-broken-just-unbalanced-need-meds-you-decide.html. I figure move the HotF discussion there, so the rest of the book can be...

Hero of the Faith: Broken, or just Unbalanced and in need of meds? You decide.

I'm forking this thread here because the discussion has completely taken over the Divine Power discussion, and I'd like a chance to discuss the rest of the book. The general consensus is that HotF should not be played as written. Comment please.

    Proposal: Divine Power

Personally, I do thing Hunter's quarry is stronger, at least as a MC feat. But it may be a matter of whether the feat is taken on a normal character, vs on a build designed to take advantage of a specific feat/ability; in which case I suppose OoE is likely more effective.
