    D&D 5E (2014) Best designed classes in 5e

Very interesting and diverse opinions so far. I like it. What do people think of the Eldritch Knight? I think it is a very interesting design and can serve as a base for lots of interesting characters, especially if you open up the schools allowed. Love me my Illusion focused knight.

    D&D 5E (2014) Best designed classes in 5e

Hi everyone. I am just curious what classes fellow forum members think are the best designed. For me, I think the Warlock design is great, with lots of intersting decision points. The Paladin is also very well designed in my opinion, a great base for a gish class. What about you and why?

Great analysis. I wonder how it changes with spells included?

D&D 5E (2014) What the warlord needs in 5e and how to make it happen.

One of the great things about 5th edition in my opinion is advantage and disadvantage. This seems like it would be a powerful tool for a Warlord character to use. Granting advantage or disadvantage is something I would like to see integrated into a Warlord like class.

    D&D 5E (2014) Defenders in 5th edition

So, now that Iron Fist is out we have all 4 defenders on Netflix. How would you make Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and Iron Fist in 5th editon. Bonus if we can figure out how to make the Punisher.

D&D 5E (2014) Quintis the Warlord, what can he do and when can he do it?

So, lots of great ideas have come out in the past few weeks. I am not so good at the mechanics but I think two ideas that are very interesting are a spell commander type warlord and a social / diplomat type warlord. Anyone have any ideas how this would work rule wise?

D&D 5E (2014) What the warlord needs in 5e and how to make it happen.

I agree but I would split that into two base classes a Warlord class with Leadership, Tactics, Inspirtation etc. and a Warrior class with Archery, Heavy Weapons, Duelist etc. I would then have a Gish base class with different levels of caster at 1/3, 1/2 and 2/3 and different arcane focuses...

D&D 5E (2014) What the warlord needs in 5e and how to make it happen.

I would start with either a cleric or a warlock base for the new warlord. For an inspiring type subclass Cha would be important and for a tactical subclass Int would be important. Con would be the second stat. It would be nice to have a melee / ranged weapons class that relied on Int.

D&D 5E (2014) What the warlord needs in 5e and how to make it happen.

Interesting. I would love a battle skill based off of intelligence. What should be in it? How can we make one?

D&D 5E (2014) What the warlord needs in 5e and how to make it happen.

OP here. I do not know and personally do not care what the edition war was, I was too busy fighting a real one. Let me tell you, once you have seen your friends die you get a different perspective on things. What I do know is that we all love this game so lets keep it respectful everyone...

D&D 5E (2014) What kind of Warlord design are you hoping for?

What I would like to see is: Bring together what we already have in 5e into a base class. One subclass that focuses on the martial support side of the Warlord (helping allies and debuffing enemies) One subclass that focuses on back line support and healing (the princess build) One subclass that...
