Pathfinder 1E [Jon Brazer Enterprises] A Week of Legendary Foes Previews

It includes traps? That piques my interest, even if I didn't agree with Alzrius (which I do).

Pathfinder 1E Spell to block Plane Shift

There is no specific Epic spell that fulfills your criteria. The Epic spell system was designed to be freeform, and expandable as desired- thus, you the GM would need to figure out the spell's specifics and make them. Using the "artifact excuse" as I suggested is likely to be a plot hook for...

Pathfinder 1E Spell to block Plane Shift

Won't work for the OP- he specifically mentioned a Cleric and a Summoner as the pair who could cast Plane Shift. The Cleric just needs to pray to god(dess), and the Summoner's a spontaneous caster who doesn't use spellbooks. Nagol's idea of dropping them right into the middle of a conflict is...

Pathfinder 1E Any reason for Monstrous Humanoids not to be a Humanoid subtype?

In PF, Alter Self (like all Polymorph effects) specifies which abilities you're allowed to gain from it. It is actually impossible, for example, to use the spell to gain the ability to fly. So no, no good reason in PF as far as I can tell. Change it if you want to change it!

Pathfinder 1E Post here if you're a PATHFINDER RPG fan!

I am Spartacus. (Oops, I meant "Pathfinder fan.")

Pathfinder 1E From the sky, they came...

What are all the extraplanar critters (Bebilith, the Daemons) doing riding around on a meteor in the first place? Isn't the sky part of the Material Plane? Maybe they had something to do with the meteor's fall. Maybe they aimed it.

Pathfinder 1E Poison for advanced scorpion

Even 1d2 can stack up fast when you take multiple hits from a stinger and the save DC is high (which it should be, given that the save DC should be based on the critter's HD and CON modifier- both of which increase when you advance the monster to the point of increasing its size). If you really...

Pathfinder 1E Ideas for interesting and useful bits of knowledge

The problem with just leaving it open like that is, "power" in any derivative of D&D is usually understood to mean level/HD- or combat statistics. None of which can be increased by simply rolling Knowledge checks and following the advice thus gained. Items are one of exactly two ways to directly...

Pathfinder 1E Ideas for interesting and useful bits of knowledge

If you're rejecting "powerful weapons, treasures, and artifacts" then your question gets too vague to answer in a game context (and without knowing details of your game and setting). Define "power" for the purposes of your question, and that may spark more ideas.

Pathfinder 1E First PF campaign for an old-timer D&D guy

I can see only one thing missing, and it's not critical: the new hardcover, Ultimate Campaign. The reason you might want it is, it has updated rules for kingdom-building and mass combat (Kingmaker pioneered those rules originally). I don't have it myself yet, so I can't actually compare and...

Pathfinder 1E Bardic performance in combat

Indeed. In fact, to better illustrate the point that the designers specifically intended that Bardic Performance not be something requiring much (if any) concentration, just look at the many spells they've introduced which actually require the caster to be currently in the middle of a...

Pathfinder 1E Is there a potion, elixir or spell that...

To be sure there are no misunderstandings about this, the PF version grants a +4 morale bonus on saves against Poison and Fear for 12 hours, not blanket immunity. PF removed most of the "blanket immunity" effects in similar fashion, actually- Mind Blank is another example, now granting +8 to all...

Pathfinder 1E Am i going to screw up my sorcerer?

Casting a Quickened spell still requires hands, so you wouldn't be able to do even that while using a two-handed weapon. And yes, it also takes +4 spell levels, so you would indeed lose much of your spell power if you start relying on those.

Pathfinder 1E Am i going to screw up my sorcerer?

Indeed- around 13th-15th level, the action economy starts to become important, and by 20th, it's all-important. I ran several 3.5 games that got to that point, so I became very familiar with this facet of the game. The action economy is why they changed Haste from 3.0 to 3.5 so that you couldn't...

    Pathfinder 1E Incarnum in Pathfinder

The Hauntshaper (a new Prestige Class) In the process of coming up with all of the above, I got this germ of an idea for an Incarnum class that didn't seem right for an Archetype or a full base class- so I made it a prestige class instead. Nobody in my present gaming group is excited by this...

    Pathfinder 1E Incarnum in Pathfinder

Bumping to note that I just edited the "Changes to" posts for the Soulborn and True Necrocarnate to add full class tables, since the new ENWorld happily makes cutting and pasting such a table easy to do (even if CTRL-V doesn't work for some reason, the right-click "Paste" option on the pop-up...

    Pathfinder 1E Incarnum in Pathfinder

The Current Version of the Foundationist Finally, here's the most recent version of the Foundationist from the files. This one has three Archetypes, partly because it was the first class to get any at all. Of course, the Soulborn has an entire alternate class, so that's ahead in terms of...

    Pathfinder 1E Improving natural weapons

Irrelevant. To quote the Bestiary itself (where the Monster feats appear): Note the phrase after "although." If you qualify for the feat, then you can take it- nothing says you have to be a "monster" to do so (and even if it did, guess what: most of the races have listings in the Bestiaries...

    Pathfinder 1E Incarnum in Pathfinder

The Current Version of the Totemist This is the most current version of the Totemist in my rules files, including two Archetypes for it. Everything in this post is as yet untested in actual play, though hopefully it's not far off the balance mark (and proves to be fun when used). The Spirit...
