    Sooo, that's my players certain not to be subscribing to DDI...

    These prices have effectively made the DDI, and very likely 4E itself, dead to me and my group. 1. None of my players will be willing to pay admission to play a game, even if it is just $3 2. The monthly rate is equivalent to what one would pay for WoW, LotRO, or some other online game. That...

    GenCon files Chapter 11

    I don't think you have to worry about GenCon this summer. A lot of companies have pumped a lot of money into this particular one, especially WotC, it being the first major convention after the release of 4E. As for the quality of events at the con, aren't most of those events sponsored by third...

    Bob Bledsaw, man behind Judges Guild and the wilderlands

    I was priviliged to meet Bob Bledsaw back in 2006 at GenCon, where he led a seminar on the history of Judges Guild. It was a very candid look not only at the Guild, but at the man himself. Bob went through some hard times but kept on fighting. I gained a great deal of respect for Mr. Bledsaw...

    AtS Midnight Fansite Down

    No problem. In fact, I think I'll put a notice up their now letting people know that AtS is "not dead but dreaming" :cool:

    New Wilderlands material beiong published

    Hi James, I remember meeting you and Bob Bledsaw back in a seminar at GenCon 39 in '06, and you announced that you were going to doing Wilderlands material in the near future. Since then I've been waiting eagerly. I'm glad to see things are finally rolling on the project. Best of luck, I hope...

    AtS Midnight Fansite Down

    Damn, didn't think they'd take it down that fast. I was going to post a new thread for some DM advice this afternoon when I found out it was gone. HOpe you can get it back soon Nif!

    It's a fine line between pleasure and pain. :cool:

    Midnight d20 and Dragonlance d20

    I think FFG's immediate plans for 4E entail a reboot of the excellent Legends & Lairs series of books. I can't see them committing to a redesign of Midnight, especially with the apparent restrictions on modifications to the core rules in the new OGL. If it is truly as restrictive as has been...

    D&D 4E 4e Core Gods

    Right, only "serious" names like Ioun, Gruumsh, Torog or Llolth. ;)

    NEWS: OGL and SRD dates/info announced

    Sitara, I'm guessing you are not in the small press/PDF business? I think that $5K is a LOT of money to a majority of the companies putting out OGL products. I was a partner at Silven Publishing, at we could have never paid up that kind of cash even in our best period. If this is WotC's means...

    D&D 4E Should Ability Scores in 4E Be Randomly Determined?

    Why? What's so great about the 3-18 rank? One could argue that it's what makes D&D, well, D&D, but if everything else has been changed (added feats, a working skill system, prestige classes, attacks of opportunity, a tightly defined combat system, changed saving throws, init on a d20 instead...

    Gleemax = Enworld

    In a wider view, consider an auction site named EBay. Huh? What's an EBay? Or how about YouTube. Not only bad grammar, but it doesn't make a lot of sense. Although it sounds like a new brand of toothpaste, it's not as horrible as it first appears.

    Gleemax = Enworld

    (In my best Charlton Heston impression) GLEEMAX IS PEOPLE!

    News on the Digital Initiative

    I agree. I think the answers we got form the Q&A Morrus put together made a lot of people more angry because of all the vague non-answers mixed into the pot. I believe they realized that wasn't going to cut it and are being as straightforward and honest as they can be, and I for one appreciate that.

    Just picked up RIFTs for the first time since 1993 ...

    Lasty year my gaming group and I started reminescing about the good old days, and eventually came around to talking about Rifts. We decided we wanted to try it again, so I went out and picked up the Rifts Ultimate Edition. Artwork: aweome. Storyline: fantastic. Rules: ehh, not so much. I think...

    Comment on Liz Schuh Interview

    The last question of the ICv2 interview: The implication of this statement is that the DI won''t be coming along until at least Q1 of 2008. To Scott Rouse or any of the other Wizards folk that might be reading, can you comment on this please? Was she speaking in general erms about WotC products...

    Interview with Scott Rouse, Chris Perkins & Bill Slavicsek

    Regarding my comment about direct answers and the lack thereof about the co-existence of Dragon/Dungeon and the DI... I like you. :) Seriously, that's cool with me. Business decisions can stay in-house, I'm more concerned with the lack of examples of upcoming content. Sure, there will be...

    Interview with Scott Rouse, Chris Perkins & Bill Slavicsek

    Hi Linae, The fact that you're here at all makes a huge difference to me. Thanks for taking the time to give us your input. And BTW, doesn't it hurt the cows with all that brand-ing your doing? :confused: One point about the answers we have received/will receive, I much prefer the...

    Interview with Scott Rouse, Chris Perkins & Bill Slavicsek

    Yes, but there's a lot of content in those magazines. They didn't pin down anything that would actually cross over. A nit-pick perhaps, but it still leaves one wondering what will stay and what will be cut. I agree completely. In fact, I noted that myself in an earlier post in this thread...
