    Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder Physical Copy

My only gripe is that it's such an attactive book, I dread ruining it like I did my Dungeon magazines! Thankfully I can beat up the PDF printouts. ;)

If you play DnD, how old are you?

13-60. That's pretty cool. I'm 30, and my birthday has fallen on Easter twice. I like to think of that as a sign. ;)

    Creepy...

The BBEG of my epic campaign was an atropal. The PCs first encountered it fidgeting in a massive vat of blood, splashing around like a baby being bathed in the kitchen sink. It was being "reared" by another BBEG, an epic vampire blood magus. When the PCs showed up, the vampire attacked, and...

    Need some gladiatorial inspiration

I like the dream idea. It allows infinite possibilities. You might work in some elaborate illusions for the PCs to repeatedly disbelieve. The constant will saves might give the impression that they know they're dreaming, but the swords and talons and flames still hurt, and the fear will...

    Need some gladiatorial inspiration

I recommend Tito Leati's "Champion's Belt" from Dungeon issue #128. The link is below. You can download the PDF for $5 or order the magazine for $7: http://paizo.com/dungeon/products/issues/ageOfWorms/v5748btpy7xt5 The module (one of three in the mag, another being "The Fireplace Level," a...

Do you like Wayne "WAR" Reynolds?

I think Wayne Reynolds is the best D&D artist currently. He never lets me down, and his party-of-adventurers-attacking-BBEG pieces are always rock solid. Keep up the good work, Wayne!

    D&D 4E Will you buy 4e?

Of course I'm going to buy it. However, this time around I think I might stick to the core books only. Why? Two reasons: 1. I have a mountain of 3E and 3.5 materials that I've been collecting and using for the last seven years, and I expected to have at least another three years before I...

What Is Your Adventuring Groups Name?

I've DMed five adventuring groups over the last 11 years: The Spellswords: '96-'98; 2E; Dragonlance/Ravenloft setting; Eye Tyrant series, "Dargaard Keep," Children of the Night modules, House of Strahd, Rod of Seven Parts, 1st half of Return to the Tomb of Horrors; level cap 18th. The Heroes...

Banning a Player from my Group. Am I Justified?

I like your version better. Thanks. ;)

Banning a Player from my Group. Am I Justified?

Not only would I ban him, I'd give him a stiff kick in the junk just so he got the message.

    DMs: Random Encounters?

When I do make use of random encounter tables, I use them during my prep time, and it's usually using a table from a sourcebook or module from Dungeon. I never use random encounter tables on the fly during play.

Forgotten Realms: Tyr and the head-on-a-spike

I think the destruction of the evil-doer's undead is message enough. ;) I have my own views of what a paladin should and shouldn't do in the face of evil, an evil that does not compromise, does not parlay, and does not understand the concepts of law and good. That's a whole other ball of wax.

Forgotten Realms: Tyr and the head-on-a-spike

I made the suggestion because the OP might find it useful in future games. There are times when player knowledge conflicts with PC knowledge, and I think the scenario in question is a good example of that. Ironing things out out-of-game could perhaps make the in-game experience more...

Forgotten Realms: Tyr and the head-on-a-spike

The references at the bottom of the link validate the article. I would expect Tyr clerics to respect the dead of civilized humanoids (elves, humans, dwarves, any race that is obeying laws), not chaotic evil goblins. There can be no reasoning with them except through bribery, force, or fear...

    Help Name Our Party

Great idea. I suggest they decide on one place, magical item, lord, mentor, god, or some other thing that serves as something that binds them all together. That could act as the foundation of the name. Build around that. Their party name should not only identify them, but also explain a...

Looking for help with motivations of an evil party

If you're starting at 1st level, they might... -steal something for a local merchant, etc. -tail someone and observe them for some reason or another. -act as guards for their temple, protecting a treasured artifact as it travels from point A to B. -clean out a basement full of dire rats. ;)...

    Homosexuality in the Forgotten Realms

PCs are fleeing from the local watch patrol. They hastily duck into a side alley and file quickly through a door leading into the back of some public building. Once they take in their new surroundings, they find that they're being stared at by a barroom full of mustached, leather-clad men...

    What class is Indiana Jones?

Is this before or after he drank the blood of the Kali? ;)

Do you haze n00b's in initiation to your group?

I had to vote "other," because n00bs tend to haze themselves. ;)

Have I been a bad DM?

Then you weren't. Trust your instincts. Judging by the behavior of the complaining player, I'd say you're in the right. He sounds annoying to say the least.
