Paladins: Which do you hate more - LE or CE?

I think this one hits the bullseye dead on.

Alignment -- How 'good' is LG anyway?

In my opinion: CG - Good natured, but lets his (virtuous) emotions get the best of him. NG - Selfish isn't quite the right word, but the NG character is good natured. He's noit going out of the way to do great, though. LG - Good natured, and willing the help for the greater good. These folks...

Paladins: Which do you hate more - LE or CE?

Chaotic Evil, IMO. Though LE is istill evil, it maintains a strict code of laws that people follow, though much more serious and draconian that LG. CE is out for blood and distruction, no matter what. Definately seems like a much bigger target for Paladins.

Where would you be Banished to?

I'm balanced between Limbo and Dis. God just can't seem to make up his mind whether or not I'm a good person  !

    They Shot Pizzly!

Stephen Colbert freaked out on his show when he heard about this "bear breeding" phenomenon. (For those who don't watch his show, he hates bears for many obscure reasons.)

What's the dumbest thing you've ever had to do at work?

My first job at the local supermarket. A week and a half in, I made an obnoxious old lady pack her own bags, then load them, then pick up the loaf of bread that "fell" onto the floor. I immediately quite before the administration had the opportunity to fire me. Loading an unloading the same bag...

    Chicago suggestions / meet-up

For Navy Pier, go there if you've got cash to burn an the weather is good. It's been crappy all week here, and I don't know when it's going to lighten up. If you can, try to go the the Museum of Science and Industry. Coolest Museum I've ever been to. (and I've been to alot of 'em.)

Metal fans, come share in the love!

Metal is easily identified by two charictaristics: 1. Guitar Power Cords 2. Heavy emphasis on drums Deep Purple was one of the first bands to feature both of these. Just listen too the following albums: Machine Head Fireball In Rock Early Rock: Elvis, Beetles, Rolling Stones. Not Deep...

Metal fans, come share in the love!

I've never really gone past 1981 for music, though the early stuff is excellent. Deep Purple was one of the first (1967) and is still around. Best stuff is 1970-1973. Machine head is in '72, so was Made in Japan, both some of their greatest stuff. Black Sabbath was good, though they began to...

    Favorite combat tactics? (2nd attempt)

Getting the entire team to use stealth is key. It's possible to actually ambush the majority of enemies you will face. If you can get the fignhter and cleric to where they need to be relatively undetected, the battle tilts heavily in your favor when you strike. Just the thief=minimal damage...

    Artifacts of Legend

For those who don't know, Aegis is the name of Zeus/Athena's legendary shield. The stat block (once again from dieties and demigods) looks like this: Aegis (Artifact) - +5 Huge Fortified (Heavy) Steel Shield Special Abitlities: Bestows frightful presence on the weilder (All creatures within...

    Artifacts of Legend

Though not really a suggestion, I'd like to post the following stats for Mjolnir (From Dieties and Demigods) Mjolnir (Artifact) - +5 Chaotic/Distance/Ghost Touch/Holy/Mighty/Cleaving/Returning/Thundering Warhammer Special Abilities: Weighs 2 tons* 4d8 base damage Critical Hit Victims must...

    Vikings or Celts

Unless it's England: Other. BIG OTHER (Except that vikings appeared every where, even Byzantium, but I'm rambling...) In an Early Middle Ages setting/ Dark Ages, I'd actually go with the Magyars (Hungarians). They pretty much combine all the elements a scourge of epic proportions rampaging out...

    Artifacts of Legend

This might be a little bit out of the blue, but how about doing El Cid's sword, Tizona? This was the mighty blade he weilded in the fictional epic, "Poem de mio El Cid" (In reality, he carried a nondescript longsword which he used to smite both good and evil, but Tizona is an artifact of legend!)

    Half-* options

I think that half dwarves are derro. They're completely evil and insane. Stats are in the Forgotten Realms Underdark book.

    Artifacts of Legend

Those stats look great! One suggestion, I might add, for a special ability, perhaps allow that blade to use the "smite evil" ability at will? Simply emiting spells is great, but some powerful martial abilities would really help show just how much of a power weapon Excalibur really is. This is...

    Protecting Troops from Fireball

It's just supposed to protect you untill you can menuver into position. (2-5 turns depending where the unit enter battle.) Then, you charge! Or disapper. Or advance. Or make some other productive action.

    Protecting Troops from Fireball

Then I suppose that in a fantasy setting appearing to be well protected might be just as important as actually being well protected. Just like Vlad the Impaler. A crummy warlord, but was able to appear very powerful to the Ottomans with his 20,000 man forest. :]
